I'm laughing already. I think you should dance around the pits handing out lucky charms.

Sounds good, Bull. Is your boat ready.

The only things I have to do is change the oil and adjust the carb (Burley was at 4200' elevation).

Things I may do

1) Picked up an oil cooler. May plumb that in, oil has been running 250-260 degrees
2) Harold Bruce got me another fin, but I have to cut an access hole in my floor to get to the bottom. The fin thats in it now is to far back and the boat pushes in the corners.
3)I may send my shoe up to Harold to have him back cut it and maybe loosen the boat up a little.

I run the water to the cooler first - about 230. 180 water. The fin thing is new to me, I think it is set right. Instaling a new tach, but other than that ready to go. Have tools ready to help at Ming.

Probably wont work on the boat until sunday when it cools off. It's a 102* out on the patio right now. Besides it been a tough day already. My son and I just got back from surfing at Carlsbad, I need a nap.

Yes indeed, they look and work great. Set back and relax, surfing is hard work; in my day the boards floated you - but no leashes.

I just gave my 1964 10' Bing Board to my niece last week.
Do you run a cooler on your boat. If so does yours mount to the stringer or block. Mine is suppose to mount to the block, but seems like you'd have problems with the oil filter.

Ross reports that we may be in danger of loosing Ming, due to low boat count, but he said that he is working on it. Keep your finger crossed!

its the same ol song and dance every year.

additionally, lack of planning because theres conflicting dates. The san diego bay fair is the weekend before that the majority of all the other classes are attending, plus theres some kilo's a week or two after....and theres some other memorial race somewhere else i heard about.

wish some of these boat racing org's would pull their head out of their ass and work together on spacing stuff out....including events with the NJBA.

Don't give up yet - Ross is still working on it. I did but the tach in mine and mount the GPS mount, but that's about it.

I did mount the oil cooler on another block in my garage for mock up. Seams like it will clear the rail kit but now where to put the remote oil filter.

I use the stock filter mount on the block and plumb in the cooler lines off the byepass ports.

So that means this year is done.
Start planning for the 2010 season opener at the Blue Water over Thanksgiving.
