I remember visiting his "garage" a few times when I was building hot Mopars back in high school and college. He always had some cool things to look at and a good story to tell. Real nice guy he was.

DONALD PAUL ERMSHAR CHAMPION DRAG BOAT RACERPROMINENT RIVERSIDE ATTORNEY Don was born on February 16, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on August 27, 2009 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, California as a result of injuries sustained in a boat racing accident on July 12, 2009. Don was surrounded by his wife and family. Don was an attorney in Riverside for 37 years. He had an active practice at the time of his death. Unknown to many of his clients, Don was involved in some form of drag racing since the late 50's. In the early 70's he began competing in quarter mile drag boat racing. In 1980, Don and Phyllis made the move from amateur to the professional ranks winning 10 High Points Championships along the way. Don is survived by his loving wife Phyllis. They were partners in all aspects of life - worked side by side in his law practice and owned the Lucas Oil/Mako Force Top Alcohol Flatbottom Race Team. A memorial service will be held on September 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, California.
