Congrats to the top dawgs, but what about Fearless Leader?     Guessin' it was titty nippling cold down there this weekend.  Kinda glad I wasn't able to squeeze in a red-eye run down there.

What a season we are going to have.
There were 8 boats that started on Friday and 6 in the main on Saturday.
In the final there were lead changes and 3 spins, now thats some exciting racing.

Thursday at testing we had a coil go out. I found myself in the middle of the river waist deep in the water trying to get back up stream. Then we got my truck stuck. Thanks to Nick for pulling truck and boat out.
Friday in qualifying we had the rotor come loose along with the float adjuster which poured fuel all over the motor (could have been bad).
Friday in the LCQ we could only get 6100 rpms out of the motor and didn't get into Saturdays final. Apparently I swapped 6 and 8 plug wires, we ran 83mph on 6 cylinders.

Saturdays qualifier we got second and advanced to the final.
In the final we hit a top speed of 91 mph in some nasty water. No more driving with one hand. Brad and I had a drag race to the finish for 3rd. Kami thought she heard the announcer call us as 3rd but not positive. It was a great weekend. See you at Puddingstone.

I dont know where I placed for the whole weekend

but here are my results.

Friday Heat 1 - Did not start - I had starter issues and didnt make the heat
Friday Last Chance Qualifier - I got 2nd
Friday Main Event - I got 4th

Saturday Heat 1 - 1st place - Advanced to the Main
Saturday Main Event - I got 3rd or 4th - I was in 2nd chasing down Mark in the 169 boat. We went into the turn side by side and I was on the inside. I had him!...but got way too aggressive and spun out. Live n learn on that one. I watched the video just now and see my mistake. I floored it way too early in the turn trying to rocket out of the turn....Ron and I were nose to nose to the finish line, but I think he had a lead on me. it was hard to tell from the water.

I am not sure how the points lay out with the split class and the LCQ, but since I missed the first heat, that hurt me overall for the weekend.

I want to congradulate all of the CJ"s and their crews on a great weekend. We put on a great show and i expect a great year.  Brad the hard work and time you put into your boat just to make the race was super. I also need to thank Harold Bruce and the R&D crew for all the help they give to all the CJ's. They bring a lot of knowledge and support even when their are not racing. Thank you all

Brad....Looking at some of the pictures.....It is my humble opinion that the nozzle needs kicked down a few degrees....

The reason you may be spinning like a Grateful Dead fan is because of a tad too much straight speed and not enough hull in the water to turn when you get to the end.

I would be willing to bet you go down on the nozzle about 2-3* the handling comes back.

Just food for thought.  :-\

If i get some free time tonight at work, ill play with it and post it for everyone to see.

Time to man up and yank it John!  :banghead:

Like Terry said a big Thanks goes out to the R&D crew and everyone who helped us out. This was one weekend where we were the one of the main reciepients.
After being towed out by Nick,
Terry loaned us a coil and rotor.
Gary loaned us a dist. cap. and soldering gun
Brad a couple of bolts for the pump
JR. showed Vance how to run the valves without the book.
Harold with jetting advise, a 2* wedge and catching my 6 and 8 wiring faux pas or F**K UP

Thanks To All
 Ron

dont worry, we were making changes like that throughout the weekend. the boat is still new to me and im still dialing it in and i'm still learning how to drive it.

when i say the boat is new, the intake was set at a different degree with a shoe and ride plate (which i didnt have before) ....and the boat was re-rigged as center steer. Mind you the first time this boat saw water was heat 1 on friday. I got ZERO testing in before.  :screwy:

Here is a pic of GN Flight 47 taking off.

He was very lucky to stay in the boat and the boat landed right side up. When the boat finally came to a stop he climbed back into the drivers seat and took off finishing in 2nd place.
