That was a little oversight when we did that and we made do with what we had on site. I am sure there will be a different course setup. I believe that next time we will be running a course through the drag course with the timing lights in the middle of the circle.

....but it sure was funny watching you miss turn one haha.

If you guys have questions about the '08 season, i suggest attending a board meeting so you can provide your input. The meetings are open to all njba members. If you're not a member i suggest joining the club. you can get more info on the meetings by contactin one of the board members through njbaracing.net

thanks.

glad to hear it. i know most of us were stoked to see you guys out there running laps during the drags. As long as we can find a way to make the course better for you guys without running a risk of taking out the drag course timing equipment, the board will probably be open to making some changes.

But again, the best thing to do is attend the meetings.

As Mike says ... this will not go anywhere w/o board approval. I know Rolf & Willis are supporters of making this happen, but Don Jones (our Race CoOrdinator) & Alan Doerr (our starter) who set up the course and run the show aren't too happy about it.

If you even blink on our current lighting system, it will fail and then you will have a ton of drag boat guys pissed off at you for killing the event.

There is a movement for a new lighting system which will help with this, but w/o board support and speaking with Don & Alan and getting them on board, it will be a hard sell.

FYI, I support you guys. Just some factual insight on how it will work ... and BTW, Brad ... you should bring this to the board ... not Jim Brock ... in my opinion it will be received better by the board.
