That's what you'd think, but I have heard "hot water heater" more times than I can count! Like I said, if the water was hot you wouldn't have to heat it. Idiots are running rampant I tell ya, Idiots!  :sly:

Take it one step further...Hot water heater...Hot water boiler and steam boiler, the reason they call it that is because of the East coast peeps, a lot of homes have boilers and radiators, so it would stand to reason that they could call a water heater a hot water heater instead, because they have a boiler also that does comfort heat and not for hot water...

Drivel I tell you, who gives a flying bright green goose turd :banghead:

GT, I get the heating water boiler and steam boiler thing, is the boiler making steam or hot water? a water heater is just that, a heater.

Stayed home cuz it was pretty windy here even early in the morning.  Then I discovered I have lost the keys to my truck and so I spent the day trying to find them.  :banghead:

I took my son and nephew yesterday. We got there around 10:00 and only stayed until 3:30. It was a beautiful day. The sun came out around noon and there was no wind at all, and the channel is a perfect place for this. The parking lots sold out, lots of people, venders and boats. Talked to a person with the NJBA and they said that they were trying to set something up with the city for maybe October.

On a sader note there was a blow over before we got there. I heard he was doing in the 150 mph range as he went threw the traps. You guys have probably been reading about it over on PB. Hope he recovers, hate to see anyone get hurt doing what we all enjoy watching.

Blue Thunder BFJ was the boat that blew over.  The capsule left the boat when it was as high as it could be 25'-30'. canopy on the capsule apparently failed when it hit the water.  Driver was pretty banged up but the worst was he couldn't feel anything below his waist.  Hopefully it will prove to be temporary.  Talked to his daughter and she said the pop-off valve failed.  I'm tryng to figure out how that woulld cause a blow over.  I thought pop-offs kept the transom down when the motor goes away.  I'm sure someone will figure it out. Maybe it failed with the motor running causing the stren on the boat to lower packing too much air then over it goes.  Beside the crash and the time it took to get the boat and fix the traps ( apparently theboat took out one of them) the program was run too slow.  They need more jetskis for towing and have a meaner pit boss to run the ramp.

The latest... Frank Nagore was driving.  Just posted on Performance Boats- three bones in his back broken, broken shoulder, punctured lung, other internal injuries. I've read he has feeling in one leg and foot or no feeling in both feet so it sounds like things are still up in the air. He's awake and talking. Going to be a fairly long recovery.  I'll give him credit for his safety equipment. When they brought him up to the ambulance he had baseball catcher's type shin guards, life jacket, helmet with scuba regulator, hanns device, and the capsule. any less and he would not have survived. Ballistic jacket and pants may have helped but he had to have been knocked around in that capsule really bad. they said he was over the record (146) when he went through the lights. I can't imagine taking a fall from 25 feet up going 150 mph and staying awake ( or alive) through it.
