« on: April 22, 2011, 09:12:49 AM »
Looking for some info on the class.
What MPH are actually being ran?
last weekend the endurance ran with the NJ, what does that do to points?
I don't want to bring a 70 MPH boat to a 80 MPH race.
Havent tested it yet but definately mowing it over

The two boats last weekend ran 71 and 78. The 71 mph was just a lake boat but runs good. The other is also a lake boat but is set up more as a race boat. Its all about the set up and a little bit of motor helps.

My girlfriend and my boat are the same, they both suck and spit.

With a big x on the back of my head, I think I need to worrymore about the boat. Not expecting to win but I don't wanna be getting lapped like a senior on the freeway

Having my untuned setup run 72 last weekend I really wanna get started in this. I know the seasons coming down to an end. I wouldnt be able to make burley But I could potentially make long beach. Is long beach just finals or is it open entry?
I dont know how rough it gets out there or if my boat would be able to handle it because it is small. Anyone got any extra gear laying around? I'd get a jacket recertified if I had to.

So what if the boat is not running 80! Like nick said, it's a drivers race. Seat time is what the nostalgia classes are all about. I think it's better to get out there now with a slow boat, learn the flags, learn the boat, and learn what it's like  to turn in rough water with several other boats. It's not for everybody. Remember, there are two types of circle racers, those that have been wet and those that will.
