Off The Wall Question About Racing
« on: December 11, 2008, 10:48:05 PM »
I was at the races at Firebird noticed that the slowest boats are in the River Runner Category but to me they still go pretty darn fast.  So here is the off the wall question.

Has there ever been any consideration of running 1/8th mile drag boat races so that guys that have 60-85 mph boats can have some fun at the races as well?  I am not sure how far down the first set of timing lights are but if they were set at 1/8th mile or so I am guessing you might have some fans that are in the stands get their feet wet on a practice/qualifying day.

Just curious!

They should have some slower bracket classes (if there are entries) .  The NJBA has brackets starting at 14sec.
Welcome to the club of broken boats :o  Pay here$ bend over and move along.
