Hey nice pics Brad.  Now go get your boat done.  lol.  I talked to Mark Moyle tonight and he said he spoke with Jim Rich and Jim was saying they are considering adding the comp jets to a race in Havasu in feb 2009.  Can anyone confirm?  Do we have anyone promoting us?  Lets face it, the comp jets are one of the biggest classes out there and have some of the best racing.  I have to admit the GN racing was pretty good at Parker.

i cant confirm or deny, but i would say i doubt it.....but if it does, cool.

its a race his daughter's class is invited to and hes trying to shoe in himself into the event as well....he tried last year but nothing came of it.

lets face it...SCSC (ABPA region 12) is no longer a inboard dominate sanction....although compjet had the biggest class of the weekend, we were FAR outnumbered by jet skis, sea doo's and hydros......it was probably the most boring SCSC event i've been to....depressing too to watch a sanction change its priority before my eyes.

i understand what ross is doing by pumping the pwc's....it all comes down to money and they show up like a swarm of bee's.....but it sucks because i love watching the K boats (which didnt even show up)....and all the other big block classes....hydro and PWC racing just doesnt do it for me.

As far as promoting the class, i do my best....but lately i cant because of work......ive been working 12 hour days 6 days a week. even though i didnt get to promote much for the thanksgiving race, it was a huge success for the class in the way of number of boats and fans...and on a holiday weekend.

work should be changing up after the first of the year after we open the new tower up, so i can focus more on the site, my boat, and more importantly the class. There is a lot of things i want to do, but just dont have the time to permit for it.

what really sucks is we lost the Ming race in the spring due to kern county having their thumb up their ass.....i doubt we will get a replacement race.....so our season is going to be thinned out even more.

sorry guys for all the negativity and the lack of hope, you have just caught me on an off day.

Time to start promoting INBOARD boat racing.  We should really think about doing this as a group effort, I've got promotion skills, I know of a great little lake to start & end the season in,  we'd need sanctioning from someone, I'd be willing to bet we could get APBA on board, or maybe even NJBA.  If they don't want to play ball we could start the

I totally agree with you about the races and what Ross is doing, dont like it but understand.  I wish I was closer to help promote our class.  I will do what I can from up here.  Well maybe if Jim keeps trying he will get it done.
