Thanks guys, the machining that pat is doing for me is more than I expected, I sent him a shit drawing and he ran with it.
The scoop involved alot of rolling in the slip roll, I've never done compound curves like that before so I'm very happy with it

If you look back you can see I had to holesaw the subfloor so I can through bolt the new rail kit on the stringers. He made plugs for those holes

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

Since you added the red duct tape, I believe that the prudent thing to do is add a drivers capsule.

got the headers fit and tacked, and last night i made the end piece for the scoop.
Still gotta buy a carb.
This weekend i am gonna pull the motor out for the final time to bolt the oil pan on, mount the remote oil filter, finish welding the headers, cut the hole for the scoop, mount the ignition box, and start laying out wires and hoses. I'm hoping to fire it up next weekend after a birthday party.
I'm waiting to drill the rail kit cuz i still dont have the GD pto bolts  Man i wish stuff would sometimes just go right

finished welding the headers up. i welded the inside of the flanges with ER70S-6 GTAW rod and put about 1/2" tacks on the collectors with it on each tube. Then I tig brazed the outside of the flanges and the collectors with silicon bronze. took a bit to get used to running it again as its been about 5 years. they came out good enough for $150 headers

definately not my best work.
