My new raft
« on: September 13, 2011, 03:12:04 PM »
Just picked her up last night 1986 Eliminator 21' cruiser 3 speed V-drive with BBC 454. Bought it from the original owner. Everything is original except for the interior which was done 10 years ago. hour meter says 256 hours.

Nice boat little brother. The colors almost match mine. Hopefully I don't get them mixed up when I go to the river ;-)

Holy cow, is that three boats that I count in the first picture... Are those all yours?

The newest ride is sweet... What a gem. There was this 88 21' Bahner that used to sit at the school by me. One of the cleanest rides I'd seen and everything was original, and only one owner. Thing was sweet, wish I had more money to get to it.

before you head out do a quick check... dont take the guys word that its "all ready to go"  and bring a few tools with you.  fresh fluids for peace of mind, who knows when he changed em.   (im weird like that... i like to check everything myself) people will say anything to make a sale these days.

yup checked all the fluids before i bought the boat the old man got it from took really good care of it. Been garage kept its whole life and fluids changed once a year. The oil and tranny fluid look bran new we started it before i picked it up and the thing sounds crisp when you hit the throttle. I always bring extra fluids and tools when i go on the water, but hopefully i sont have any problems.

Haha. You only need to do that once to learn your lesson. As many carbs that I have tuned, as many motors I have worked on, my stupid ass still managed to do that. Lol
