New Guy, with Loose Nuts

Hello all,
Names Chris. Been a lurker for a while off and on. Finally ready to introduce myself and my little boat since I finally brought my boat down here from norcal. Ready for a good summer with her for the first time in years. Look forward to good company and good tech talk. Enough, let's talk about boats.
Loose Nuts: 1974 Hondo BBC Twin Turbo. Built by Gale Banks, and been a turn key hot rod ever since. I bought the boat in 2004 in it's all original glory. That last one summer until the pump melted, then the mod bug kicked in. Pump built by the late Tom Papp. Custom White Lightning loader by Jim (Tom's fell off on the freeway, lol). Interior done by a friend of a friend of a friend, was cheap and I'm satisfied with it but it will get done again to my taste and perfection.

Thanks for the welcome. The summer kick off for me is the fouth weekend at Lauglin. Till then I'm getting her all ready. Trailer needs some electrical work. There will be a pre run at Elsinore before that weekend to make sure everything is up to par. Never been there there though. If I read/heard I should go on a weekday right now, right? So I could enjoy 35+ mph speed limits.

Snap. We right across the river on the AZ side, at a condo complex. Gonna get the boat all ready this weekend. I can't wait to get it back in the water.

Well weekend out at Pine Flat Lake was a blast. Lots of hot boats out there. Boat ran great all weekend. Even got to stretch her legs out with a few runs. But on the morning ride today with just the wife, Loose Nuts acquired a most likely a season ending injury. I'm going to a leak-down test next weekend. I know caught it before anything major happened. So hopefully that's a plus.
