Post by: CHROMEY on July 11, 2018, 05:08:39 PM
Some friends have a camping trip planned there, is the lake jetboat friendly? Should i tow it out there 5 hours and back...is it worth it?

Itís a good lake. Cheap camping right on the water, boat parked in front of your camp site. The bad: windy as hell and gets choppy pretty early. Bathrooms and showers suck. Donít bring your good easy ups or tents because they will get shredded in the wind. Been going there for years and the last time the wind was so bad no one wants to go there anymore. I personally still like the lake though. Itís one of the few that allows lakeside camping.

Lake Isabella is a big lake.  I go every year if I can.  I donít have any problems with my jet boat there.  Later in the day might get a little windy.  Itís nice cause you can launch anywhere you find a spot.  Again just watch the wind lake can get rough quick.
