« on: February 05, 2012, 07:58:35 AM »
If I go to bigger 8 qt pan do I have to run a tray and different pick up.

If I do run a tray can I just loosen the main bolts replace them and retorque?

Thanks
Chris

I just did this on my 460. Yes you will want/need a windage tray and a pick up to go with the pan. The pan will come with new main bolts that have studs for the tray and spacers assemble it all and retorque.

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

this is correct on the dooley pans, pans such as armondos or milodon come with the tray integrated into the pan

So I have a couple pans, and a couple ?s
One pan 10 quart custom pan but the trap door would keep oil at the front on accel.

Another 10 qt custom pan I have the tray, rear sump, and trap doors keep the oil at the rear.
Which is correct
