So I've been working on the engine with my limited knowledge and have not be able to get it running right. Every time I make a change no matter how little something else gets messed up.
Basically I am looking for some one with mechanical experience on 460's in the Orange area. I can bring the boat to you if you can't come to me.
The starter has been rebuilt, new coil, new plugs, new msd wires, new battery, rebuild carb.
The current issue is it has a hard time starting and won't stay idling. I think it's a carbaration issue, but I don't know of to set it up right. And kind of explain to me what is going on. My biggest thing, is I want to learn.
Also I'm willing to pay for this assistants.

Oh yeah, and I have a family trip planned for Aug 22... I'm free weekends and after 5 most weekdays.

Yeah, my girls in Yucca Valley right now. And it's real bad out there. She's saying it's like dime sided rain drops.
Never hurts to offer it up anyways. :-)

It was a slow crank all the time.

Mash on it helped me out with timing and what he could over the phone and I think I've fixed it. The starter froze on me, so I'm going to take it back to the guy than rebuilt it and see what happens...

After timing it I was 38* off! Hahaha

So I'd like to give a big thanks to Mash on it, he walked me through a bunch of different troubleshooting possibilities. And well let's just say shes running strong than I have ever had her. Still need to button up a few minor things, but she will make it on the water! Hopefully I will be able to meet some of you have the river or Elsinore this year.
