454 gen 5 oil cooler

Happy Friday fam. I have a gen 5 454 Iím having oil cooler issues in regards to bypassing it or plugging the 2 holes on the oil pan rail. Have any of you ever had to deal with this ?

Its what I ended up  doing. just waiting on a bunch of other parts to drop this engine into the boat.
