WATER COOLED HEADER Q's
« on: December 13, 2011, 01:48:53 PM »
I have through the transome log exhaust, the headers are aluminum. Do they have, to have water running through them? I'm guessin they do, but im not for sure.

Next question... Do the log headers have something built into them to keep the water from sucking back into the heads? I mean it would suck water back in if the over lap was just right wouldn't it???

-Any info would be helpful thanks...

The logs are jacketed......think tube in tube here. Water circulates through the log...into the block....then dumps out the back end of the snail. You would need huge overlap (imo) to suck water back up and over the snail...but I spouse it could be done
