Call up the Big River RV park...I'm sure they've got a couple spots open.

How is that park? I'm looking for a place to spot my trailer.

very family oriented. ive been there since i was 8-10 years old, i'm 28 now. everyone knows everyone. everyone helps each other out. we party, but it isnt the type of partying that keeps everyone up all night. docks are a non issue for me because i pull the boat out everyday. i like it because its small. also has really nice trees and grass down by the water, with a swimming hole for the kids. come check it out

Are you going to be there Father's Day weekend? I would love to be able to check it out. Do you leave your trailer/rv there full time?

My trailer is there from may-oct this year, but it's usually from April to sep. I'll be there fathers day and the weekend before. Alot of new people pulled in last weekend. I've never worried about leaving my stuff there. If you come by, let me know, just make sure you stop at the front and talk to the managers. They're great people Gary and Gloria. They won't recognize your truck anyways and chase you down in the golf cart.

I have a cancellation for a room at the Big River Inn. Prospct Beersmeyer's in laws have a place in Parker, so he's going to stay there. Any takers on the room or should I let it go?

you cant get to the parker strip from that side of the river on the water....just happens to be a big dam in the way holding back that part of the river! just sayin!

Don't get crazy son! The tube float is this weekend, June 5th. Not the same weekend we're going to Big River. You can boat up close to Parker, but there's a dam keeping you from going all the way to Parker, you can always trailer it...

If you don't know where your going, ask or follow!

His entire pump was hanging on by 2 bolts after the rocks got done with him.
He wasn't going fast but he still wasn't able to dodge them even at a slow pace.

WOW   :o        That is some serious carnage !        Be safe and not stupid next weekend fellas.    And ON road be sure to obey all speed limits.   Parker PD is handing out tickets like beers at the ball game.   Speeding across that bridge is gonna cost ya $500 IF that is the only thing they find to write.

Beerjet's right, lots of shallow areas that seem to come from nowhere out there.   :o

the pile he hit is very easy to see if the water is low. its actually asphalt chunks about 6" thick and probably like 4-6' in diameter.

ok so if anyone doesn't know, here is where the rock pile is. its a really skinny area of the river and its in a blind turn coming up river. pay attention in this area. if the water is low do not go on the other side of the island. its only about 3' deep when the water is all the way up. red dots is the huge asphalt pile. green is the skinny section that you are ok to go in. dont get too close to the island, stay about 20' off it. also do not let off the gas. even the biggest boats here will be fine.

MOTEL
BAD SPOT

then here is a half ass guide to shallow spots. the long red one in the center of the page is the rock bar that always gets people. the is a little red bouy towards the top of it now.follow the green line and youll be ok. i drew it accurately so when it crosses sides of the river. do it.
