Next big SCJB event will be at Big River on Fathers Day weekend, June 19th - 21st.

Local Hotel Accommodations:

- Big River Inn: SOLD OUT - Don't bother even calling!
- El Rancho Motel 709 South California Avenue Parker, AZ 85344 (928) 669-2231
- Quality Inn (Aka Bridge Inn - Used to be Motel 6) - About $85/night http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-parker-arizona-AZ387#listpos1
- Best Western - About $115/night http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/US/AZ/Parker-hotels/BEST-WESTERN-Parker-Inn/Hotel-Overview.do?propertyCode=03130
- Kofa Inn: http://www.coloradoriverinfo.com/kofa/
- Big River RV Park - http://www.bigriverrvpark.com/

Big River Inn is sold out. They are all screwed up over there. They lost a few rooms to flooding and leaks in the monsoons last august and the tribe doesn't want to invest any money into the hotel to fix them. They are down to something like 14 operational rooms out of the 28 they have. I am already scouting out other locations to host the August event - 99% sure it wont be in Big River.

So that being said, the Fathers Day trip will still be at Big River, but people will have to book their rooms at the Quality Inn. I am working on trying to get a hold of the guy who runs the old Limo there in town to see if he will run shuttle/taxi service across the bridge for those who want to join us back in big river for dinner and drinks at the Catfish Cantina.

Keep it safe out there. There will be zero tolerance for stupidity. Give each other enough room on the water, theres plenty of river out there.

. No worries Brad. Half the fun is the evening festivities. Not much fun if you got to worry about your boat across town.

What Brad said Jim.
No one has ever messed with our boats in the Big River Inn parking lot for as long as I have been staying there.
There will be some people going to Parker for fuel on Saturday morning and we can pick up anyone who needs a ride back to 'The Bates Motel'. :D
Hell, even if I don't need fuel on Saturday I'll make a run over to Parker and pick up a few peeps that need a ride.
I'll have room in my truck for 4 humans.  ;D
People helping people and shit like that.
Think about it Jim
Hey you Woodchucks, quit chucking my wood!

Jim, you could always leave your boat at BRI and take a cab or the limo into Parker, you're only going to be there long enough for a shower and change boardshorts anyway.  LOL  !

We can grab you guys in the am while getting the days fuel and supplies !
Either that or check on a trailer at BR RV Park or Rio Del Sol like Bobbie & Dewey.

When we go somewhere as a group I feel save with the boat. We have 50 or more people looking out for our boats. Someone is always around 24 hours a day I myself had checked on them at 4am.  As far of the rest of the logistics I know I could drink water all weekend and make the drive from Parker to big river.   Just to much of a hassle I will just make the next trip. One guy will not be missed have fun all.  And thank s for the concern Dave and Sean

Count me IN!

I don't know how any of you could knowingly miss out on the Pusher Man at Dumas Walkers.

Your events have just become way too Rockstar for BR inn's  meager accommodations...

I know and I'm doing my best to keep everyone happy. Sadly this will probably be the last 'official' scjb meet at big river.

I wouldn't say I dropped the ball. I'd say I stretched it out as much as I could. The fact they are down 10 rooms with no intentions of fixing them kinda really put a strain on things. Hell, they closed over the winter with intentions of not opening ever again, but Laurie talked them into opening up for at least one more summer. The place just isn't a money maker for them like the bluewater.

Big river inn is a shithole anyways. Three trips to Laughlin sounds good to me. Lol
