Probably a purpose built race hull....

Got any Sheriff friends? That is how I do it in Santa Clara Co.  Don't know about Monterey Co.

May need to scare up a  Statement of construction.    http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/reg/reg5036.pdf

PITA if you ask me...Done it numerous times with race hulls from Oregon,Canada. Canada needs to have a certificate or origin also. :screwy:

If i get some free time tonight at work, ill play with it and post it for everyone to see.

No, not really....Every time I had to do it, the hull was new and untitled, you have some digging to do. At some point that Deaver had something showing ownership....You need to "find it" or create one hell of a work of "fiction"... :-X

Good luck

The problem isn't that it doesn't exist.  The problem is getting them to believe that it's not stolen & numbers removed.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Does it have a hull number on the transom? If not I'm not saying you can do this but a Mfg. plate from another boat that has since been scraped might get you further down the road if you know what I mean. No wait that doesn't sound legal. How about finding a guy in the white pages named Deaver and pay him C note to write you a note saying he built it for himself in his backyard? No that doesn't sound right ether. I know claim it was stolen twenty years ago, you found it abandoned 300 miles off the coast, statue of limitations have long pasted, and you claimed salvage rights on the high seas!!! there you go no problem!

I know this is way late....
I wanna say "Heavy D" from Florida (can't remember his shops name) was building "Deaver Hydros" and a piece of me wants to say almost exclusively for racing.
