Anyone know of a reasonably priced, good upholsterer that is local?

I think I wanna do the same configuration but put white in place of the pink..

As far as bimini goes, wife wants me to buy a longer one to shade a bit more but I don't want to parachute off the lake when planing out. Am I better off having someone make new fabric for what I've got? Or pick one out of a catalog?

Again, probably same scheme with white replacing pink..

The boat has quite enough pink in it

Custome Canvas in Monclair is aswesome. He aint cheap but he does great work. i got my Bimini there and its solid and it looks really good with my boat

i like how the stripes match the gel. sure its pink, but it goes together.

You can't remove the pink... It pulls everything together. And I'd say go to a custom place, my parents have a larger Bimini on there boat that they got custom made.

this one was done at custom canvas, it is more than i could ask for and the customer service was awsome.. hell they even called me a week after i picked it up to make sure i was happy with it

Starting to rock and roll on the carpentry end of things and saving some cost in the things I can do.

Goal is to have all new seat bottoms cut, shaped, sanded and glassed come Monday!

Took a full sheet of plywood with little scrap.

Traced, cut, shaped, routed, sanded and glassed today.

I floated each piece in a shallow tub with resin. Sanded first coat flat and thin around the edges so that staples will make it through, then thinned down the resin with acetone for the final coat.

My seat bottoms match swimsteps and floor-lockers in color and are finished like the tables at Outback Steakhouse... Just in case someone looks under the seats.

i never question why i took it all apart and i dont think you do either judging by the masterpiece under your seats! you obviously do a great job. most of the fun of owning a boat is the countless hours of tinkering and enjoying it while its not even in the water versus the few hours while it is in the water you have to worry about all that hard work you did previously.

No regrets, boat is worth putting work into. Wish I woulda started this in November.

Realizing its gonna cost a bit more than new wood and vinyl, speakers are dated, head unit is tired and the equalizer is wierd.

The gauges now look their age, I think they're VDO's nothing fancy. Buddy of mine says Livorsi is the way to go.

thats my buddies boat thats a 90 ultra! 22 year old boat looks insane nice
it had grey tweed, just spent 12g's to completly redo the whole interior. it did have seats on each side of the motor and an old school engine hatch. this place also made the open bow bigger and the walk through wider.
this gel coat is original and looks like it came off the show room floor.

Is there anything wrong with the upholstery itself? Or just to calm it down? From the pics it doesn't look in too bad of shape.

Seat cushions coming apart at the seams and plywood bottoms weren't the best.

Dropped off parts to be covered this evening. Dude is one month out on lead. Glad I didn't wait any longer..

Swear to shit, I'd rather build a motor than re-upholster a boat. A simple recover of seats has turned into interior restoration. Anyway, now is the time I keep saying. Putting in the hours your standard upholstery guy would not.

Good thing I cut back on beer, resin fumes doing juuuust fine.

Henry's Upholstery in La Habra and for 1800 and price will probably go up from there.

He's done a lot of work for several customers I've done windows for, The Forty Ford/Forties Limited car club.
