Sounds on the high side. I'm doing all my wood/glass work and I'm gonna be paying 1800 for new foam and material and I have an open bow.

I paid 1300 for new foam and upholstery in my Sanger . 2 grand is a little steep

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

i paid $1500.  biggest thing is that when you build your own frames everything is a start from scratch setup.

what i dropped off

what i got back

erwins upholstery in long beach off of cherry blvd.

if you have existing seats and just need a refoam/recover they can disassemble the existing seat and use it as a template.  much cheaper.  martinez (which looks AMAZING) charges a ton for their interiors but they're awesome.  they know how to make the most of the space, little cubby holes, cupholders, etc.  upholstery is by far one of the most expensive steps.

When I was working on interior I had a few quotes at $2K to $3500.  I made my seat frames and took them to Martinez Marine Interiors in Corona and they hooked me up for about $1K.  Look around a bit and you can find someone to do it for a more reasonable price, but marine interior is different than automotive interior so watch were you take it.

There's probably a few shops in your area that are willing to give you a good rate for quality work. Especially if you can handle some labor yourself. I like to walk the shop and see how organized they roll and scope out any current projects of theirs.

And material is important, I'm using marine stuff from Softside, they seem to have a good, heavy feel.

jetjunky,

That looks killer..

Do yourself a favor though. Go get the correct distributor ca for that distributor......

That cap is an automotive one, it will have a vent hole in it. The correct one should be blue and have a gasket and no vent hole....

Sorry, it's my nature...I am very OCD when it comes to closed engines... :screwy: Would hate to see that awesome interior get torched.

GT

If i get some free time tonight at work, ill play with it and post it for everyone to see.

Time to man up and yank it John!  :banghead:
