has anyone or do you know anyone who has changed out a newer volvo penta trim motor/pump?

i've bought an online manual but looking for some real life pics or tips on the replacement. detailed repair info is harder to find then osama bin laden  idk maybe maufactures/dealers don't want you to have the info 
 
while we were at bass lake this year it had rained all night long and soaked my trim button and caused my trim motor to run all night and into the day which fried the motor.  i took the boat into fresno to the closest dealer to get checked out but they didn't have the motor. it's friggin expensive 800.00 just for the assembly  so i'm going to try it myself to save a few bills on labor.

If you are just going to swap out the motor by itself, it is a 30 minute job...Piece of cheese....

As far as parts....I use http://www.volpar.com/ for everything Volvo...He is the man and here in Santa Clara...

The SX manual is highly protected as far as PDF and so on...I have access to a full set of service manuals at my buds shop, let me know if it goes badly...We can get you out of a jamb.

1) on the motor, that's what i was thinking  i just didn't know which motor to use because i couldn't find any info on just motor replacement. the manual i bought only talks about complete replacement.
 
2) thanks for the  parts contact, i will definitely check him out 

3) i'll know more when i remove the assembly. my manual says to remove the drive, transom mount just to change the assy. (btw i'm going to try without removing them) the dealer said three hours to replace at 90 dollars hour. nice  being sarcastic
