I just took a better look at it and it's different. Where the loader grate that you're looking for has one "fin" this loader grate has two "fins". It is one-piece aluminum and if I can get it for my Rogers I will get it.

GTH made more than one version of the cast loader. There were also two different aluminum alloys used. The later alloy was stronger but more expensive to use. With the fabricated steel loaders being less expensive to produce, the cast ones went out of production.

lookin at that loader and a ton of extra drag it creates compared to a modern one. why would you want to use something like that?

Looks like marcsrollin is getting the stainless steel loader and the owner of the Crusader tunnel hull is keeping the cast loader.

anyone used one before? still trying to figure out the advantage of using it. all that extra surface the water has to travel across is drag so i'd think that it wouldn't work as well as a modern loader.

Happy Easter Mike, the word from Cas is that he has seen gains in all the boats they have tried it in. Cas also said his boat gained about 4mph over the white one, modern loader.
