What exactly is a class IV flotation device. Is it just a throwable type?  We were on the river this weekend hanging out maybe a mile or two down river from AVI on AZ side.  we will be out next weekend as well from Jack Smith to Pirate Bar, Gorge and sand bar. should have four boats with us. Friend may come up from Havi with a 27' cat.
yes it is a throwable

A buddy told me that they have been doing "safty checks" on random weekends for every boat passing through the gorge.

Another friend went through the Gorge last weekend. Was stopped. Had everything in check except for a horn  :banghead:  He somehow came up with a whistle. Good to go. I guess i need to go shopping for an air horn.

Labor day might not be the best time to take your jet out on the lake unless you intend on running really early. If not plan on getting drunk in a cove or the channel. All the big dogs make the lake a mess. Dont plan on going to Parker, you have the same problem but in a smaller more confined area with few beaches to hang out at (good if you have a place on the river but not for day use) Then you have lower river beyond that. You are most likely to find most of the people on this sight down in that area, lots of fast jet boats filled with people who hate Havasu because god knows why........... I say we take havasu back, F the **** in big boats with huge payments, I will fight them all.

Any ways see you out there maybe, I have a blue sanger and my buddy has a yellow and black eliminator look for us if you want to get loose.

Lets stop just swinging the hammers around, and put em to use. Time to get down and dirty. LETS RACE!!!! Dammit. Thats why we have these dam boats. The two boats in the pic and the owner's are ready to rock. Im the owner of the yellow and black Eliminator, We will be out in havasu the weekend AFTER labor day, so should be some good water. So whats up anyone down for some good old fashion drag racing, and beer drinking.

yes i hear you, ive had ben to havasu in bigger boats before but my new jet boat is not small like yours. its a21 foot open bow V hill. ive been practice it at lake elsinore when its windy and chooppy, handles like a long travel off road buggy. other than that i mist likely would rather be hanging out with rest jet boaters than prop crap. and watch them race, is not che although i dont know name of beach bars and where there areap

ya the square with two handles on it. if you dont have one get one. i dont see what the big deal is. you can throw a life jacket just as far but they want you to have one so you have to have one
When  you turn your boat on... does it return the favor?

I say, we have enough members to make this a movement and legitimize this idiocy, we get B-rad to make some throwables with the SCJB logo, and a tag line underneath like "Yeah, we know it's stupid to have to carry one, so we made these" and have it do double duty as a flag........... ;D

Just thinking out loud........

fwiw-
harbor freight sells anodized key ring whistles for 39 cents. I bought a handful and attached them to all my floatation devices/vests. Figure there out to be one somewhere on the boat if i get pulled over. Plus, you ever try to get someones attention by yelling in open water? A whistle is much better.

My SOCal Jet Boat towel or T short ready yet?
