Hell, the hull looks better than some I've seen that haven't been sunk, and that's a perfectly good core motor.  i bet with a good cleaning, that casale box is still rebuildable.

I'd be strapping a line to the bow eye and towing it back to the ramp...looks like it'll float.

Technically, it's not "in" lake mead, so it's fair game right?

yeah, what he said...plus someone mentioned before that theres also a no scavenging law as well.

the hull is in much worse shape then you think....big hole in the passanger side rub rail where it had been rubbing on rocks for years......im sure the wood (if any left) is rotted beyond anyone can believe.....what was left of the interior was just vinyl. the wood was gone....so imagine what those stringers look like under the glass......and im sure that vdrivecase is usable, but after a ton of work.....and to get it out...good luck....99% of the bolts heads in the entire boat are rusted so bad, theres no shape to them anymore.

i say we leave it alone...let it lay in its grave.

Most of me agrees with you guys, flip it back over and let it RIP.  History of that thing has to be a good story, though.

Part of me still agrees with Pat and Terry, snag it and see what can be done! Christ, I think Riverroy has done almost the same thing on his that would be required, short the transom. Be kinda like rebuilding the Titanic.

I hafta wonder, years from now, when Stewart Dam needs redone (it's comin, it's old) and they pretty much drain Saguaro lake, what people will think of Cave and my's Biesemeyers that'll turn up? And lord knows what else is down there.........

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

You can rebuild anything but I suspect it would take $60k +.  Go to craigs list and you can get one for 1/10th the price.
