I got to Blythe Hampton Inn. No thanks to Phoenix traffic on the west side as I was leaving this morning. A nasty accident happened literally in front and two lanes to the right. Had to swerve to the left to avoid t-boneing a camero.

Got passes at the park to launch Saturday and Sunday. I walked around and saw quite a few jet boats. Man, the river was real low. Hope it will be higher tomorrow.

Probably going to unhook the boat and drive back over later. Saw a blue and white jet in row G.

From what we heard, the waters going to be comin up throughout the weekend. Prepare for cold water lol. We're at twin palms right now.

I've been up and down the river for two days now. McIntire Park up to the dam. I hooked up with some folks that know the river real well. Lucky for me because there is a lot of maneuvering back and forth to avoid sand bars. Hopefully today the river traffic will be lighter.

U can learn the channel fast in lower water and able to see the sand bars better, it's stressful the first run or 2 but after that your golden. That's how I learned at 16 or 17 years old

Monday boat traffic was a 95% lighter. Great day on the water and avoided the traffic back to Phoenix. I met a lot of great friendly people and had a fantastic time. The Baja ran great.
I'm back in Phoenix now and will head for Houston Wednesday.

Buy yourself a good pair of polarized sunglasses. Been running this stretch of river for many years below twin palms can get shallow. The glasses will help.
