So I made a change in my life...
« on: September 21, 2011, 03:43:23 AM »
And I quite smoking.  I am currently in afghanistan on my 4th deployment.  I bought the greensmoke electronic cigarette about 2 weeks ago and havent smoke a cig since.  Gave away all my packs and thats a wrap.  So I'm thrilled with the way things have progressed.  Below I are some discount codes for those that are interested in giving it a whirl.  Also it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee if you dont like it you can return it and get your cash back.

www.greensmoke.com/disc5-26563   5% off your first purchase

www.greensmoke.com/disc10-26563   10% off $100 or more

Any questions feel free to message me.   8)

Quitting will be the single best thing you have ever done for yourself.  Good luck with it, every day will get easier.

is it really quitting? you're still technically addicted to the nicotine.  why not just quit straight up?

I've been trying like hell to quit and bought that same ecig. I went a week on the ecig until I left the charger at my buddy's Friday night. And yes you are still technically addicted to the nicotine but don't have all the other toxic shit from cigarettes.  And w/ the ecig you can control the nicotine level. In that one week I was on it I went from smoking a pack a day, more drinking, to a couple ecig drags when I woke up and couple hits after a meal. It really does work and I really liked not smelling like an ashtray all the time.

Addicted to nicotine yes.  Inhaling 4000 plus chemicals is what I wanted to take a pass on.  My personal goal is to step down my nicotine level to 0 over the next 6 to 9 months or so.

I wish that quiting was just that easy.  For me personally it just wasnt the case.  Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances on the planet.  Ask any smoker and they will tell you its one of the hardest things to do.  Not to mention that being deployed is one of the worst times to try and quit but I'm making it work.  I found this to be the greatest alternative because it still has the overall feel of still smoking.  I even go out to the smoke pit here and get the social aspect of it.  Plus when I have a beer or 10 I know damn well that I will want to smoke.  So this is my best option at this point.  I tried the patch and had success but went back to smoking 4 months later.

First time seeing this thread, digging this one out of the mothballs...

Only way I've been able to stay quit from old addictions is to never forget I am an adict and make a promise every day that I will stay quit.
Killthecan.org for the dippers and whackthepack.com will save your life if you use them. Fock getting cancer, never too late to quit!
