I live at Arizona oasis...they have full hookups

Let me say that matter what I do....what I do!  its not going to be fast....I am not rich! lol Im trying to do this right, but on a budget with a time Looks like I am going to rebuild the 496....keep your fingers crossed when it gets torn down. I will keep ya posted.....I guess its a good thing I have my mom's pontoon as a back up on the weekends she is not here! lol

See I would love to go fast but a 21 ft open bow ultra no matter what I do isnt going to go fast......I want to be able to pile everyone I want into the boat and not have it struggle to get on a plane.....If I wanna go fast I ask a buddy of mine to take e for a spin in his blown daytona.....once a summer usually gets me that speed fix lol. Being that I live on the river my boat gets used 4-5 times a week. I need something that will last.

Blew a rod......One minute I am cruising down the river, the next thing I know I was floating.....ugg.

Go across the river to the Colorado River Oasis! The EBG! Best people ever! No tweakers either.....I started out as a weekender but now I live there....(not in a trailer) lol

@Big I am a fan of size....but I am his go big son doesnt really work.  Go Big daughter doesnt sound right.....go big or go home? I donno....all this motor stuff is killing me!

yeah from what I have read the pro comp heads are made over seas and yeah they are alumunim but big deal right? So now I have my other option that has been thrown into the mix. Orange engine said they would take my 496 and rebuild it for 1900.00 is that a good deal?

So I blew the motor in my 21' Ultra this weekend. I do not want to try to be the fastest boat on the river I just want to get to where I want to go. I have a couple options on motors but have no clue which direction to go.  On one hand I have the option of a 454, 120 over with pro comp aluminum heads, stainless valves, head springs and cam from Clay smith, Forged pistons, Scat rods, RPM Steel crank and clay smith push rods and roller rockers.  Or should I just get crate motor...and if I do that what do I order? And then I have a 496 that needs to be rebuilt.....who do I take that to and what do I tell them? Im just a girl trying to get back on the river. Help a sista out! :'(
