You can't live with 'em, and you can't bury them in the backyard.

GT, I've always paid close attention when your posts. Be it a carb issue or generic jet boat question.

Seal the borders and tax the imports so hard that no one can afford them.

Try to buy a Chevy, Ford or Dodge in Japan and take a look at the tariff.

My new Chevy truck gets to stay in the garage now and I get to drag the boat with 403hp and air conditioning blowing up through the perforated leather seats. It's got everything.

Sorry to hear about your loss.  It is amazing, yet sad, how much we become attached to our pets. I still have fond memories of the Boxer I grew up with.
Max was 16 years old when he left me. I was 16 years old as well.  We grew up together.  We were best friends and when I misbehaved all I had to do was go into the back yard and Max would not let my parents get near me. I will never forget the eye to eye contact that Maxamillion The Great The Third  and I had when the Vet gave him that lethal injection. For 47 years I have never had another dog, best friend. I feel your pain.  God Bless

You know, I was wanting this thread to go away so I can function right for a while and not tear up at work. I had a similar relationship with my dog as you did with Max.

I held him close and strong and didn't fall apart until he went limp and relaxed. Then family and the Dr. disappeared and I felt like my whole childhood and early adult life died with him, don't remember how long I laughed and cried and talked to him until I covered him with his worn out blanket before exiting. He was always there throughout my life so far. Disappointments, achievements, happy, sad as hell. He knew.

Bastard used to wake me up every day, lay on my chest  stretch the front paws out and rake his nails down from my neck to my gut. Tail wag like, "what are we doing before school?"

A Fuck ing stray ass dog that followed me home as a stupid kid.. Damn, must sound crazy like my grandmother that has full on conversations with her dog.

There will never be a replacement, no one will stare at the bottom of the door when I leave.

Dave, that is one clean boat by the way.

No more pain anyway. Vet said he likely had a brain tumor or some other neurological ailment that was effecting his eyesight and screwing things up. Its all good now, and he'd be thankful for not suffering today.

Shutting down any riding area is a tragedy.

The sierra club does do good things, but they will financially back anything that will help shut any riding area down.

It's been a while since I've been active in preservation, best advice is to join CORVA and ASA... If you haven't already. They're like the NRA for riders.

Keep this thread going.

My dog hates the water. Its a good thing because I wouldn't let a dog in my float anyway.

Good work there dealing with a crisis situation. Looks like a nice river boat that will handle some lake chop.

As it turns out, the boat runs great and lifters don't make noise when it has the correct amount of oil.

You could gain some space by backing your new jet boat into your garage real hard the first time and build a box around your jet in the room behind your garage.

If my 21' ultra threw a rod, i'd have the perfect excuse to do a mild, mild performance build...
