Wow, look at all the room.  Good looking float.

$1500 sounds like a deal for it even with the transom issues.

Good luck with the sale.

Think maybe brad can get us a couple shirts made so we can all wear them at the first outing.

I'd trademark that one right there.   Long live the King.   Long live the chin mitten.

Git yer chapped ass healed up and c'mon back Omar.  Did those white framed, blue-ray H8'r Blockers of yours get broke or what?

I was going to go the same route, thought a pair of low backs and a rear bench would be rad! but started thinking that tweed would get itchy, and the foam would hold water, so went with Martinez Marine in corona and was stoked on the outcome.

I like the idea of short teaser videos to get us through the year and help promote the DVD and the site!

If you take some of the video from each event and put out several 3-5 minute "shorts" to create interest throughout the season, then let everyone know that the videos will contain more unseen footage from the gatherings, I think it would give everyone something to enjoy.

2000 miles and he forgot his boat.  :banghead:

You could put a trolling motor on that belt buckle and drive it around.

breathing tube is out and shes breathing on her own with just some assisted oxygen from a canula. no more breathing machines!  awesome news for us.  shes got the iv still in her thru the umb cord, but they're feeding her directly from moms milk thru a feeding tube.

I live slightly north of a fu#kin igloo

if I bring the engine in .. the wife is out,

 think about it  ??
I was thinking "indoors" as in, into the garage or a shed...
But hey, if all i gotta do is bring the motor in the house to get the wife to leave, I'd buy a spare motor to keep in the house year round!

Ok ill play. I know I might get a little shit on here, but.... I do love my boat and miss the river already, but there are things that I miss more. My daughter, Skylar. Some know that I lost custody of her and she now lives in Texas with her bitch mother. I get her only a few times during the year, but summer time is all mine basically. It has been hell on me and my family, but when she is here I couldn't ask for anything more. My lady Anne is my rock and helped me through the roughest parts of my life with everything. Both of these ladies in my life mean the world to me. This picture was taken at a luau' in Maui, HI on a family vacation that we all went on.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Tanks not draining equal ?
« on: August 11, 2013, 10:27:36 PM »
I know this has been asked before....
first go after motor swap and right (passenger) tank won't drain?

 only thing different from before,

fuel lines run over tt exhaust to tee then down to fuel pump,   thx

Whichever tank starts out with a higher level, or is higher because of a list, that tank will drain faster, simple physics.

Drawing from both tanks at the same time can be risky, if one of the tanks is allowed to run dry, the fuel pump can aerate the fuel and run the motor stupid lean....

put ball valves on the pickups and turn the other side off.  tanks will always pull from the easiest side.  an extra bend, inch longer hose, etc.

The No Wake Zone / This is where I got started in boating... my dad.
« on: June 16, 2013, 10:44:43 PM »
Growing up i was allllways around boats.  he grew up with them and he had worked in a boat yard in marina del rey most of his life.  always had cars and friends with cars, etc.  by the time i was born my dad ditched the mustang cobra fastbacks and nomads for drag boat racing... and he did so with his buddy Jeff.

I remember doing everything with this boat.  Learning to ski, getting pulled on a tube, but the best was sitting on dads lap and steering.

We mostly went to martinez/yuma with friends and family.  My aunt and uncle had a house in the parker keys that we went to on occasion.  But I still remember my dad racing

My dads boat was 147 and his buddy Jeff Blosdale had an almost matching 141 (sold recently on pboats i think and it was BEYOND clean.  such a pretty boat...  if anyone knows what happened to the 147 it'd be cool to hear!)

heres a neighbor buddy Al with the 141

my dads shortbed chevy with the 147 boat.

Heres him making a pass:

anyways he sold the flatbottom and I remember driving out to somewhere in the middle of the desert where there was an old train caboose somewhere next to a gas station.

once boatless he got hit up to run throttles for an offshore race team "thundercat" and did a few races in mead, san francisco, etc.

the owner then sold the boat and such and that was done.

shortly after he got a heads up that someone was selling an old catalina ski race boat... and thats when we picked up the 79 tarva.  it was a piece of work to say the least but it had mostly everything.  my dad said it had a 468 or something with a littlefield blower on it, logs and snails.  something happened with that motor and he had replaced it with a 540 with a mooneyham and imco center rise, art carr t400, etc... it really was a pretty boat and we had a lot of great times in it.  ive made plenty of trips to jeff's shop in torrance on del amo, walking around numerous engines being built, and at the time not understanding what much of it was.

new interior (i think martinez did it...)

he painted it himself

(photos courtesy of daygo, who later purchased the boat)

and the motor, it really was beautiful

we had some great trips in that boat along with his buddy jeff.  shown here in his hocking

and our neighbor that had a jet boat

when he remarried my step mom wasnt a fan of going fast and not being able to get polished parts wet.  so the tarva was sold.  but being boatless didnt last long.

he picked up a tollycraft which they lived on for a short while due to my grandmas health with alzhiemers, selling their house, my grandmas house, and building a retirement home for themselves in north carolina.

which brings us to today.... they're retired in north carolina and his "last boat" (haha yeah right...) a little center console robalo.

I'm only on my 2nd boat... I got a lot of catching up to do...
