Took my Southwind out today to make sure everything was good for next weekend. Aside from losing a bearing buddy on one trailer wheel, ran great. Just put the motor back in. 455 Olds, new heads, cam, carb, headers and valve train. Motor was fresh but wanted more power. So, tore into it for no good reason. Very happy with the results.

Was the problem the manifold itself or are you just upgrading?

Also, Iíve read that some motor builders use the black silicone on the front and back to seal the manifold instead of the flimsy rubber gaskets that come in the set. This is how my motor builder did it as well.
