Very nice bike Chief.

This is one of my true passions aside from the river. Just got back from the river run in Laughlin yesterday..

Mine is an 08' Street Glide, completely stock when I got my hands on it back in 2010. I've done a lot to it, too much to list, but it runs great, sounds great, and gets me where I need to go.

Bella just texted me this picture of the fortune from her fortune cookie. Thought it was fitting for her upcoming "she kicked  Cancers ass" boating party.

Initially the deal was the hull, stainless 4" exhaust tips, tanks, fuel fills, ride plate, cradle, and grate. Then the man threw in a go pedal, for/rev handle with billet knob, and transom ring even though I got him to come down on his price. I think he saw how excited my lil brother was so tried helping out with his new money pit. Very nice older gentleman. We really appreciated it. Every bit helps!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: What weight oil
« on: June 04, 2016, 07:50:27 PM »
My only recommendation with running a 50w oil is to build some heat before you really get on it.

I've been using 15/w40 Delo for years without an oil related problem.

I agree. It is like a woman. Warm her up before you hammer it.

Don't know if I'm going this weekend.  Probably should pull some weeds and hit the yard with Round Up, so it looks like someone still lives here.
Ive been doing that for the last month my yard is dailed in.

The No Wake Zone / Memorial Day
« on: May 30, 2016, 10:06:06 AM »
Just want to take a moment and thank our brave service members past and present.

Remembering those we lost can be both a blessing and a curse.
I have family from all walks of military service,  from The British Royal Navy,  to the Army, including the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles, The Marines and the US Navy.  Your service made this country what it is. You will always be remembered as heroes.

May you finally rest knowing your families are safe.

Never forget.

Shelley and I wanted to say how much it meant to see Natedog, RiverTard and Holorinhal again. We haven't been real social at boating events for a few years.... it was good to see the spirit still strong with a new generation. Great event.... congrats Brad.

Events / Re: SCJB @ The Avi Mothers Day Weekend May 5-8, 2016
« on: May 03, 2016, 09:13:03 PM »
So I have some good news, but unfortunately it's too short of a notice to pull off at this Avi event.

This year booking and organizing the events at the Avi have been such a breeze compared to previous years. I have been dealing with a new sales manager and she's very on top of things and willing to work with us to make these events bigger, better and more accommodating. One of the huge requests I pitched today actually went much better than I thought. Porta-pottys in the boat parking lot. They said at the August event, they will rent them for us and put them out there for us to use. For those of you who have been going to the Avi for some time with SCJB know how huge this is!

Everything else for this event is falling into place nicely. We picked up a sponsor called Michelada Love. They make a bloody mary type mix to mix with your beer to make those popular red beers. A bottle will be put into each room at the hotel that was booked under the group rate.

Also, Brett from SpeedBoat Magazine who is their editor and also puts together the section 'Brett's Cove' will be coming to the event go cover it. In the past he sent out Kenny to shoot the event and Brett would write the article, but he wants to come out and experience the event first hand. This is Brett's first SCJB event so please make him welcome.

And of course, this goes without saying, please drive safe and mindful of the people around you. No drinking and driving will be tolerated. The beach is still open to the public so there will be non-jetboat people there. Please respect them and their space.

I'm looking forward to another amazing weekend at the Avi with all my SCJB peeps!

Fishing off of a jet boat should only happen when you can not be seen by anyone in a V-drive.  We don't need anymore reason for the v-drive guys to poke fun at us.
V-drive guys like to fish, shouldn't be a problem on a jet.

Haha sweet, thanks guys. Really hoping to meet some new people. And I yes the purple jet is what made me buy the boat lol. And I wish it had a big block ford in it. But for now I'm stuck with the stroker small block.

Bringing a 355 SBC powered Southwind, we will hang out together. Lol

And yes,  digging on the purple.

My dad's first jet boat was a brand new 1967 Glencoe in metal flake purple with a white band with white tuck and roll.

Simply awesome.

Boats For Sale / Re: California Performance Jet Boat #1

As you can see I am a new member. I also happen to be the new owner this boat. I have been a boat owner for ~20 years, however my back ground is motorcycles, not boats. I am merely a recreational boater.
I am sure you guys hear about boat deals more often than I and you don't have to look far to find some rough stories. Speaking on behalf of this deal, doing business with Steve far exceeded any expectations. Being in business I know how things can be at times. He and his son are absolute professionals and went over and above to make certain I was comfortable, understood what I was getting into, making certain the boat was in absolute pristine condition upon delivery which included them driving the boat to my river property to make certain we ran the boat together on Friday. He answered any questions, had reciepts for eveything and took whatever time needed to again, make certain I was comfortable. His character and integrity is top notch!
How did it run................First pass on GPS it ran 103mph. The boat is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!!!  Thank you Steve and (son) Steve.
