Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / Re: Forward / reverse lever help
« on: August 23, 2017, 10:21:41 PM »
I always change mine to the ,"Billet Aluminum Positive Locking 3-Position Shift Control " this pic is from cp performance . I like to make sure it locks into the direction I need it in.  And has a in-between area kinda like " neutral " if there was that for a jet boat. Iv seen a jet boat accidentally get slammed into reverse while underway and it buried the bow in the water. Almost sunk the boat.

Boat Insurance / Foremost Insurance

Been a while... I get distracted by the facebook group so much I forget this is where I really want to get the important info to you guys.

I love that I can help you guys after being declined or cancelled by other companies. But the best part about getting the coverage back in force after a cancellation is getting a better policy in force than other companies have available. Today I learned that I am able to transfer existing Foremost policies to my agency, so you don't have to cancel and rewrite, and there is no risk for a lapse in coverage. The reason that's exciting is because I can then actually see what coverage and limits you have to guarantee you have a policy that will really cover you in the case of an accident. When I get to look at policies written by other agents who don't have experience with boats or being on the water there are crucial coverages that are missing, but the uneducated agent has no idea they are failing you. Pretty much.... Get your policies with an agent (me😉) who knows the river, knows jet boats and knows what the real risks are out on the water. 🚤

Hope this helps. It keeps my lever forward, but still let's me go into reverse and neutral easily. It just doesn't creep out of forward like it used to.

Last night progress... after work (8-9pm) to 1am nights are starting to wear a little thin... but it's the only time I get. Just need to make pump support... install rub rail... water test... then send new brackets/parts to powdercoat if they work and don't need to be modified.

Test fit the motor with the new mock up plates and rails, wanted to make sure everything looks good since I rigged the boat using solid works on the computer. Everything worked out perfect and now to pull everything out to finish machining the rails and backing plates and have the motor plates machined.

Project Boats For Sale / 1990 Kawasaki Jet Mate
« on: October 17, 2016, 12:41:18 PM »
SOLD

1990 Kawasaki Jet Mate, currently not running, I took the stock carburetor off, put a bigger one on and turns out it needs a rebuild. All it needs is a carb rebuild and reinstall. I will throw in the stock carb and the replacement carb, both with the right manifolds. Compression is 150/150. It is all stock and all there. 650 stock motor. Comes with a bimini. Boat is in very good condition. With it running I would be listing it for $2,500. Trailer tires were new in 2015 and well as a complete trailer rewire. It is ready to tow. I have pink slips for boat and trailer and in my name. Never used in salt water, only at Big Bear Lake and the River. Current registration as well. Comes with original owners manual. Located in Ventura.  George. geosuchand@gmail.com.

Email me for more pics.  I couldnt upload the ones I have, kept getting "internal server error".  Except for these two.

Projects / Crazy Eights Resurrection 2016
« on: September 07, 2016, 08:51:58 AM »
Well, its been a long time coming....and things are coming together quickly. I get asked constantly "whats up with the crazy eights??"

As of right now its sitting on the side of my house gutted, dirty, and looking very sad - but not for long.

I have a Dyno date set at Westech this coming Monday the 12th to dyno the motor that Bostick has been building for some time now. If all goes well, I will be bringing it back home with me. The motor plates are being water jetted this week by Wes Morgan. The pump is at B1 being gone through. I hope to pick it up while I am in town for the BayFair the weekend of the 16th. I also dropped off the seats yesterday evening to get upholstered.

This weekend's goal is I have some fiberglass work to do, get the new motor rails in and rig the throttle and stack gas tanks. Basically have everything ready, so I can just bolt up the pump and drop in the motor.

The goal is to have it at the Southwind Regatta in 3 weeks.

Hoping for Blythe no where has any spots and I got a new born so hotel is kinda hard cause to nap or do anything it's of the water. But I'll hopefully make it out with the family.
That is tough, we went through it a couple years ago, now we just set him up under the ezup and have his brothers watch him and that's our chance to get away for a boat ride lol

Sounds like it'll be in the $600.00 range?
Would be nice to regulate both oil and water temp.

Seems that everybody makes a big deal about the water pressure.
Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've always run my gate valve wide open and have never had a problem.
Every ski motor for the last 40 years and even our Comp Jet running 6800 rpm's.
Now that I've said that, I'm sure to milkshake my next motor.

Motor is back in the boat.

Where you heading?

Be careful out there, lots of watercraft traffic on the holidays, and too many of them are untrained and unaware of whats going on around them.
