Congrats on the purchase. Going to be a lot of work but what's cool is you are starting off with a blank canvas and can do anything you want. Obviously within budget. The thing I suggest is look at a lot of gel/paint designs on the internet and tweak it the way you want with the colors you like. Good luck can't wait to see what you do with it

I would add an oil cooler if you are running that temp. Just my opinion and what I did with my new motor. At testing was running 260 added oil cooler running 180

I have all the necessary components to go with the blower/intercooler. Have a dump from the intercooler  that is constantly pushing water out of the side of the boat. I'm not worried running in blythe

If you were in Blythe with intercooler with no SAND Strainer (I am sure you blocked it up a little) so much sand in that water. I try to stay away with no sand strainer.

I am using an intercooler on my BBC 496 10-71 blower in Blythe. Just finished it and ran it last weekend down in Blythe with no issues.

The No Wake Zone / Re: Lower River Advice
« on: June 28, 2017, 02:53:54 PM »
I'm wondering if there is a typical time of day when the water is highest?  I know it probably varies on different parts of the river, but is there a rule of thumb or a way know when the the water will be up or down?

Typically from what I have seen is the water starts rising mid morning!!! We usually launch out of Riviera which is now the Cove and we base launching our boats off the water level at the launch ramp. I have never had an issue tho in blythe with water level. It's all about reading the channel
