WTB / WTB Autometer Marine 6k Tach Chrome Trim Ring
« on: February 27, 2013, 10:17:48 AM »
I'm looking for an Autometer Pro Comp Marine tach 0-6k 3-3/8 size with CHROME trim ring.

See the attached pic

Autometer PN 200752-35. They run about $170 new and I'm trying to be a cheap bastard mofo and get one for less. If you have a NOS or a used one in good condition I would like to buy it from you. Thanks for reading!

The No Wake Zone / Re: does anyone run a fin?
« on: September 11, 2012, 08:36:39 AM »
Gonna pull my intake, it has a leak near the front- under the pan, and machine/mill off the fins, as they are cracked halfway or better (been is some skinny water 8)  )...and it handles fine
I know I'm not the first to do this

100's of seadoo's and jet skis and the twin powered pwc "boats" never had intake fins...why? less drag?

I cut my intake fins off and there was no change in handling and it eliminated my cavitation issues during hard turns. Go for it!

Random Boat Parts For Sale / Re: Tandem Axle Trailer $600

Here is a shot of the trailer when I had my 18' on it. I had the bow crammed up to the front and the rear of the diverter was flush with the back of the tail lights so that I could fit the whole thing into a short garage. You can rig this trailer to do a 20'  if you let the pump hang farther off the back than I did.

I used this trailer to haul an 18' jetboat but it will handle up to a 20' boat and will go smaller as well. You will probably need to change the bunkers to fit your hull.
Includes the spare tire you see in the picture.
Has a 4 wire in line harness, 2" ball. Forward axle has drum brakes and the tongue has a surge mechanism but it is not plumbed with lines and I do not know if it will work.

Call 503-957-6954 and leave a message. Trailer is located in North San Diego County. (Fallbrook)

TTT. Who wants a virtually brand new diverter for a great price?

Still for sale. I called Place Diverter today and they said my rig will fit any other Berk style bowl. All that is required are some flat washers if your bowl has the flat bosses inside.

Some of you have been asking what size bowl my diverter will fit. I thought I could read the ID plate on my pump but it is impossible from age/fading/poor stamp/bad eyesight. I also thought I had the paperwork from Place when I bought it but nope.  :banghead:

So here are some closeups of the diverter off the pump and the end of the bowl. I remember I had to grind some bosses down on the diverter to fit the inside of the bowl outlet. Hope that helps you guys ID my bowl enough.

Yup, last i drove a boat in orygun waters I hit a log......with a prop. Nice up there but too fucn chilly for the kid (me). Lots of drag boats up there

Hah sorry to hear about your too close encounter with our friends the floating logs. We are just as surprised when we boat in AZ/CA/NV and hit a dead body.  ;) :o

Wow havin a hard time getting used to the new functionality of this website. Sorry that I have not responded ... the Diverter is still for sale. The transom is also for sale. The pump will eventually be for sale. The ad currently is attempting to sell the Diverter for $350. IMO this is a sweet deal about $.50 on the dollar for something that will cost you serious coin new.

There it sits in the pictures - freshly extracted out of the arse of my boat. It saw 1 brief season of use up in cool, clean Oregon waters (where all jetboat parts thrive in the mineral and regulation free environment). No control handle, but control cables come with it (if you want them).

This diverter is currently located in Fallbrook, CA and I can ship anywhere and deliver for free in OC or SD County.

PM me or call 503-957-6954  :)

I am looking for this specific wheel. I believe they came on 2002, 03 & 04 Grand Cherokees. They are 17" with 5 x 5" spacing. I need 4 of them.

Oregon. Hmmm lets see, rain in half the state with wind, mist, and drizzle 10 months a year. Snow in the winter and heat the other part of the year, but at least 300 days sun. Bend has 12+ unemployment with every fourth house forclosed. The coast unemployement is nearly as high as Bend, cost of living very high in comparison to income potential, no state tax but property tax is high and they are looking for more ways to raise money. School systems suck in most districts. I got an idea! If all of the southern Californians would move up here, vacating that part of the world, maybe someone would buy my house for more than it is worth and I could move to San Diego or somewhere I could use my boat for more than five days a year, could ride my mountain bike in the sun without a rain jacket. Oregon is a beautiful place to live, if you can afford it. It is just getting harder to make a living as keep working so hard to screw up the economy. Oh yeah, ya gotta be ultra liberal, willing to hug every tree, avoid every owl etc.

The great thing about Oregon is: nobody lives here.
The bad thing about Oregon is: nobody lives here.

Sounds like great news Glenn!

PS - thought I had found a pic of the thong and apron but it's just the normal "thong and clogs" deal. Nothing special.

Wow... a thong AND an apron.... hmmmm. (working the visual here) That IS taking it over the top. I agree that this makes it a weird week!  :screwy: Right as usual Glenn!

The No Wake Zone / Re: I want to see tow riggs
« on: November 22, 2010, 07:52:40 PM »
Time to bump this one again. I'll go first. I am making progress on my fantasy tow rig. It was 1 year ago this month I started tearing down the first of the three trucks that went into this mashup. 2 weekends ago I got it safe and legal and out on the street for the first time!  8)

First picture is how it looks now - still rough and still 100's of things left to do. 2nd pic is where I'm headed with it. 4" drop on the rear, some slight fender mods, OEM 17 wheels and a 3" shorter nose job. Even though it looks like an old truck - under the skin it is a stock 96 GMC 1500 w/5.7, auto, air, cruise, tilt, airbags (the ones for your face), smog, blah blah.

Oh yeah and there's not a tow hitch in sight yet - but it's on the list!

Boat Showcase / Re: minor set back-
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:09:57 PM »
Gosh this thread is cool on so many levels:

JBUnderground - way to have some very hot wimmin in your vid. Why can't I ever have that kind of crew during my mishaps????!!!

Then GT Jets steps in with a nice thread hijack and we (or at least I) forget about the OP's original (and relatively minor) boat out of water problem.

And then the BEST part of all is RivRat34's post. I think I may make this my sig line:
"man that was lucky nothing minor damaged! "

Nice. Is the pic from a lake in Oregon?

Willamette River just upriver from downtown Portland.

The boat was in Portland whilst me and the tow rig spent most of the summer in San Diego... (sigh).

So I just stare at this pic from a typical mid-week afternoon last summer (15 min from my driveway to the boat ramp).
