Run it on the water before you buy it.

Is your old carpet in one piece?  If so why not just use it as a pattern, dry fit it and then start glueing.

You just need to match it up with your pick up tube. I had to use this one in order to duplicate and match my rear pick up https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mel-m84bhvs.

Hook a vacuumed gauge up before you switch and check the reading with your 850 at WOT. If itís close to zero then the two 660ís may be overkill.

Sad news, lifter froze destroyed  the cam. Block goes to machine shop tomorrow. Hopefully back up and running in a few weeks. Irony is she was still purring. Only heard the tick putting it on the trailer. ☹️

Looks like your thermostat housing has a plug where you can install your gauge as well.

Before you invest in a bigger carb test the one you have with a vacuumed gauge attached to your intake. If the pressure is near zero at WOT then an 850 is not necessary IMO. There should be a couple different spots on your intake you can attach a pressure gauge to a water passage. No need to drill and tap. Here is where I have mine. As yes a gauge that says fuel will work.

Go to summit racing and research your distributor. It will list which gear it has.

Maybe a simple comparison with the gear you have in there now. If itís the same run it. My 2 cents anyway.
