Boat Showcase / Flashback Friday
« on: January 12, 2018, 07:15:55 PM »
Here is a flash back Friday post for you all ... this is from 1969. My pops in the pics not long after he got home from his vacation to Vietnam.

One of his buddies actually built this boat in his garage and another one if his buddies bought it. Engine is a 400 Lincoln.

What motor mount system do you have?

The driveline should be disconnected at the PTO at the flywheel.

..yup!! Lmao

your friendly local v-drive owner
I would say since a lot of them are flat bottom boats ... Your nuts are that big from being slammed around ... Anyone that has been it a flat bottom know the feeling of having your nuts slammed down ... That pic is just the swelling from the aftermath

I am new to So Cal Jet Boating community. I recently moved to the river from So Cal and this is my first boat. And I love it! She is a 1977 Challenger w/Ford 460. I purchased her from a young man in Lake Havasu, that was in the process of buying a new home for his new family(1 toddler and 1 on the way) And I got the distinct feeling that my girl got voted out! Thank you! There is a god and I feel like they were smiling on me that day! I have been "Holding My Own" and kneeling to the Arizona Boat Gods ever since......God Bless.....Amen!
Very cool. I have a 77 just like it that my dad bought new in 76. Still all original

Full stringer does not need a "floor" the "floor" in a 1/4 stringer is for strength lost by not having full stringers

It does not state on it anywhere that it's recycled ... It's Tractor Supply Brand. Both my pops and I were store managers for TSC lol that was not something we were aware of either ... How do you know this?

Has anyone ever tried this oil? Says it's for pre 1993 gas and diesel engines ... Thinking about it for a stock 460 built in 1976 ... ???

Well for the ford guys. I️ sold my liberty to my brother and picked up Brandonís Daytona (BCR33CH) gonna fix a few things and drop the ford into it. Should give SOME of the Chevy guys a run for their money.
