I have a tandem trailer frame we built a few months back for a 19 CP that we never finished.   Has a pump cut out with new style UFP coupler and new soft ride torsion axles.   Set up for std 5 on 4 1/2 pattern.   Needs wheels and tires,  fenders and paint to finish.   We can help finish it if you need...

Hey Lets Dance, not over Willow at all... I'll always have that place in the family...   besides, it on the "GOOD" side of the river and the way CA is going, I can't get an AZ DL soon enough..LOL

Hey GT,  how are ya?  Yeah the tax issue is a little sketchy.   I always thought that county could not touch anything on tribal lands but if you look up the tax records through the county website they all do.....   Not sure if it's just the value of the improvements on the property, or the land itself??  I would think the leases will renew,  I think that is major source of income for the tribe...   My fear is will they just renew with the existing leaseholders or will they repossess the property and then "re sell" it on the open market..   I'm not really interested in getting in a bidding war with somebody on my own river house that I built!!   lol

Yes it is Land Lease under the CRIT reservation and thru Big River Development Company.   Loans are impossible so it must be all cash....   I know there is theory that the state owns the property but from what I understand they have lost that battle before in court and the original boundry from the 60's has been upheld...

I love that area of the river and don't mind shallow water,  keeps the big boats off!!!

There have been a few lawsuits contesting the boundaries of the reservation,  but all my research shows the border has been upheld since the sec of the interior set it in the 60's...  my feeling is it will renew,  I can't see them wanting to put in a casino.....  I cant imagine Blue Water Casino 2 miles away is taking in cash.....

My only fear is if they will renew the lease with the current holders or reclaim the property and then "re sell" the property with the new leasrs....

I would have no problem paying a high lease rate,  I just don't want to have to "re buy"  my own hoise....lol

I try to look at it like what is the worst case scenario....   if I could throw a mobile home on it I wouldn't mind but building a stick built is a huge investment...

Lower River / Big River area land lease

Thinking of buying a place in Big River.  I know the master lease expires in 2029 so its a little bit of a gamble...  Anybody have info on this area or how the lease deal works?   I would be a little skeptical to invest big money into something that may go away in 11 years....

Trailers / New Mako trailer
« on: December 17, 2017, 08:50:00 AM »
Just finished a road trailer for this new Mako flat so I figured I would share some pics....   Went with a custom set of reverse mount 14x8 for that old schoolEllis style deep look with shortened leave springs to suck in the tires.....  Used a custom bent set of 56 inch 10 wide fenders to hug the curve of the tire and sit as low and tight as possible....    Removeable v drive cage with rollers that is triple plated chrome and Frenchmen in the lights..

Let me know what you think, I think it turned out killer....

Sorry,  duplicate post....    Not sure how to delete this one

Hey Zack,   It's kinda been sitting while I have been working on a bunch of trailer projects...   The motor is finished and the pump is almost done,  going in next month for new seats etc,  then I gotta build the new trailer...   I am hoping to be ready to hit the water by April.....

Kid in his junior dragster I'd definitely talking up my time,  but it's a blast and we both both love racing with all these west coast kids.  The level of competition is unreal....

Biggest problem with powder coat is that is does not like standard bondo.   They do make a powder coat friendly body filler,  but it costs a bit and is harder to work with.   We are getting ready to do a PC trailer for a CP and we are leaving all the welds exposed,  so we will see how it turns out....
