Cars / Automobiles For Sale / 1983 Porsche 944
« on: May 10, 2016, 04:32:59 PM »
Time to sell my 944, one of the cleanest examples of what a 944 should look like and how it should have been treated.

Color is Sobel metallic
Option package has the cassette carrier and also the KONI sport suspension with bigger front and rear sway bars.

Car is completely original no accidents never been repainted, the original saddle brown leather still is soft and has no rips or cracks.

The car has a very well documented history dating back to 1987 with receipts and according maintenance/service work records.

The car has never once failed smog since new it has always passed.
December it went into shop for basic maintenance and got timing belt new battery new water pump full service from front to rear.

Car drives great it's got new Michelin sport tires that are 10 months old.

Car pulls hard and is a very fun to drive. If you appreciate Porsches and are in the market for a very nice example this is the car to buy.

Looking for $10,500 Obo

So as Simple as it may sound how do you drain the oil if you don't have a cheater tube off the pan nor want to pull engine? Milkshakef my oil while testing with garden hose the Bassett Tee opened up and trashed my new vr1 oil...

I have a Dooley oil pan and can't install a drain tube due to no room.

What have you guys found works best sucking it through the dip stick hole?

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Stringer throttle set up
« on: August 14, 2015, 08:49:47 AM »
So I've had some guidance with a lot of the little things I've been tackling on the boat. Now that I have taken a look at the seating and how I'm going to set it up the throttle assembly was mounted really far under the dash and I was looking and to have my legs under the dash just seems dangerous and painful if I was to ever get tossed out.

I have a lighting stringer mount foot plate and the angle changes a lot as you move it closer to the seat the pedal almost faces the passenger. I'm thinking of just cutting up the base that I have and taking small increments off the make it fit right but I've also seen some trick 1/2 tube  style mounts That use the foot plate mounted off it as well.
What's the best way to mock up is my main question as I will also need to drill into my tunnel to mount it.

What's the best way to mock up
This is the old mounting location deep under the dash
Original owner was really tall with he seats set up for only a 2 bucket set up now I'll be pulling the steering wheel out 4-6 inches.
