The No Wake Zone / Trailer Dollys
« on: October 15, 2016, 05:37:32 AM »
Who out there uses a trailer dolly to get their boats into the garage, side yard, etc..? What type do you use and how easy is it to maneuver? I'm looking at buying a little house to flip and it has a detached garage with a huge back yard but the driveway is narrow and the garage is too small. There's no access to the back yard from an alley or anything so my only choice is to either leave it in the driveway and have no garage or try and maneuver it between the house and garage. Any suggestions?

The No Wake Zone / Santa Clarita or Corona
« on: May 22, 2016, 12:28:25 PM »
Curious as to how many people live in/around Santa Clarita or Corona? I will be separating from the Army soon and have accepted a job offer at SpaceX in Hawthorne. Wayyyy to expensive to live in that area so will be living in either Corona or Santa Clarita. They are about the same distance for me. Just seeing how close some of you will be for spur of the moment boating trips.

Thanks, Steve

Well that makes about as much sense as a soup sandwich!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Bilge blower
« on: May 20, 2016, 12:17:53 PM »
Might be a dumb question, still pretty new to this whole thing but, I understand the bilge blower is used to vent fumes out of the engine compartment. When I got my Omega it had two. One on each side of the engine. I noticed one was hooked up backwards (blowing air into the engine compartment). I was just wondering what the census on this was. Is it something I should do when I put it all back together? Or are a couple of vents in the hatch cover sufficient to provide air for the 460? Just curious what you guys think or what you're running.

Thanks, Steve

Just wondering how many of the members have served and what branch? Fire, EMS, and LEO count as well.

Myself, former San Bernardino County firefighter Station 108 and now current Army Infantry? Where you at ladies and gents?

Thanks, Steve

What's up everyone? Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I've been a member for quite a few years but unfortunately never got to meet up with many of you. That's gonna change though. My buddy Tony (a lot of you probably know him from McIntyre and now he stays in Willow Valley. I'm currently stationed in Germany but looking at a medical retirement from the Army and I'm working on getting a spot in willow as well. The place right next to him is for sale and I'm doing all I can to get it. Anyway, I do tile and granite work if any of you ever need anything just let me know and I'll be more than happy to work for beer. Hope to see some of you all out on the water!

Projects / Looking for someone to put my boat back together
« on: April 18, 2016, 12:10:34 PM »
A couple of years back I picked up an omega daycruiser with the intentions of building a nice little boat. Flash forward a few years I have a freshly painted boat, a rebuilt engine (ford 460) out of the boat, and I'm now stationed in Germany. I'm looking for someone to basically put it all back together. right now it is just an empty hull. I need it gone through COMPLETELY. Engine, electrical, the pump, everything..... anybody have any recommendations? Is this even the right forum for this post? Thanks in advance!

« on: April 12, 2015, 09:00:50 AM »
Hey everyone I'm selling a 78 Omega mini Daycruiser. I was going to restore it but I joined the Army a few years ago and can't afford to. I believe it's 26' long and it has fresh paint (yellow and black to match my old truck). It comes with a rebuilt BBF 460ci motor with jetboat cams. The pump is a jacuzzi (yj I believe). It comes with a brand new stereo system, new gauges, and other various goodies. It will need interior built and upholstered to however you want it configured. I'm stationed in Germany but the boat is at my brothers and he has the pink slip ready to sign over. I'm asking $2000 obo. I am well over 6k into the boat but I need it gone quick. 2 weekends and this thing would be a bitchin boat, really want to finish it but I just can't. Easiest contact is email but I will try and check this a few times a day.

Don't know much about the motor. I know it runs like a bat out of hell, only got to use it twice last season. fresh oil. Make me an offer!
