Jet Pumps / Re: Impeller damage too much to fix?
« on: December 07, 2017, 06:35:54 PM »
Looks pretty bad

I'd take it out inspect for cracks
And check the wear ring.
The other side could be worse than that.

As far as the carburetors goes. I pulled the duel Holley 650's and brought them over to C&J Engineering in Santa Fe Springs. I gave them all the info for the motor and had them completely rebuilt. They are looking bitchen now!!

The last couple months we haven't been able to do much on the motor. So, I've been cleaning up wiring and other stuff on the boat. I decided to add a droop and place diverter to the berkeley pump. My plan is to have the motor dyno tested and then have the pump gone through and matched to the motor. Of course that's more $$$ but, I know it's as important as the motor. Maybe more?

So this is basically where I'm at with the rebuild. We'll be getting back after it this week. I'll keep up posting as well as I can from here on out. Thanks for tagging along and I hope you enjoy.
So I  had the same  setup  as you have on your pump earlier this year and it rode really wet.
Wedges didn't help!
Once you get it back on the water and aren't happy with  how it rides, hit up Tim place in la habra he'll get ur shit set up rite
Just .02

Other things have come up and time to list her for sale.  5k for the trailer and hull. I have more invested in time and labor then that in this boat.  If no one wants to pay that much Iíll just keep her.
Say it isn't so!

If you don't want me to take/post photos of your boat, just let me know bud. I can totally respect that. Most people are excited to show off their hard work and get recognition for it. Every boat I have ever put on a shirt I got permission to do prior to going to print. Every one of them were blown away and excited about it.

This goes for anyone. If you don't want pics of your boat taken/posted, just let me know. I will respect your wishes and will not take offense to it.

If brad takes a pic of my boat @ one of his events then he owns the rights to that photo.
Not down with that.
I got way too much money,  late night hours hustling to get to the lake in the morning for some one to OWN the rights to a photo.
In the event scjb had a pic of my boat and put it on one of their t shirts you think I would see a dime of it. Think not.
I like this site there is plenty of info and talent on here to get answers on just about anything and I'll keep checking out everyone's post so I can keep learning my self

Yah this site has gone way down hill.since the fb group started. This is the  only social media I'm on.
My wife has fb and is on the group somewhat mainly to look at boat porn and see what hi perf  parts are for sale.
I used to able to thumb thru the posts on hereand gather info on things that relate to me or issues I've had.but lately it's crickets in here.
Seems.fb is just a place for people to gloat, talk shit, criticise, tell you what you should do with not knowing a thing about your setup.

So fuck it that's where scjb wants to go I get it.thats where brad can make his money
Prolly will never go to an event bc I don't want pics of my boat for the masses to see.
Rant over

I wouldn't worry about a .20 cut crank imo.
I got a  461 na  deal  10.5-1 and a .30 gm crank  , speed pro pistons, 049 heads,
She spins 6200-6400  haven't had any thing that makes me worry about it. And it's the original 2 bolt block the boat came with in 1980.

She's hip on jet boats  knows the makes and model plus the crazy shit we do to them so the coverage is out there it's up to you  how much of what you got you wanna cover.
