You probably won't get much usable advise here because most of us don't have much experience with boats that use the little spinny thingy out back.  ;)

Hey... I have a little spinny thingy out back. ;D

If it's not an ordeal try removing the tabs to see if you pickup a few mph, that way the tabs and drive are not fighting each other at top end. Just a quick experiment and reason to take the boat out. If you don't have a gps you can get a speedometer app for you phone.
Good luck

Rings have sold.

Un-issued Yugoslavia SKS for sale. Some Knicks from the importer. Only a couple hundred rounds through it.
Legal transfer.
Also comes with approximately 800 wolf rounds. ($200 value)
$550 plus shipping (the last rifle I shipped was $35 within ca)
Semi-Automatic with 10 round fixed magazine, you can convert to detachable mag but that's not legal in ca unless you can install a bullet button. If you want you can cut the grenade launcher off and shorten the overall by a lot.
Rifle $400
Wolf FMJ 7.62x39 (ak-47 round)
Ammo $150

Here's what it looks like. Actual photo later.

I've cut up an 18' jet once. Luckily I had access to a dumpster. I would take it to the dump whole next time. It was a mess.  Take pics if you do. Good luck.

first design... classic SCJB "when one boat isn't enough"
second design...interpret how you'd like, but whenever i'm on my iphone my wife asks "whatcha looking at.... socaljetboats" because i always ask her "whats she looking at" when she's on facebook  >:D

A couple of questions, do you have a bow gas tank? If yes you'll have to remove it too. can you tell if the bulkhead removable? Is there an bow access hole, if yes get a kid to go in for you(it gets real tight). Pics would help better figure this out for ya.

White is the way to go, just did mine last year.  I sprayed mine right in my driveway, first time ever painting anything and it didn't come out half bad after a good color sand and buff.

Sorry off topic.
Riverlife did your neighbors give you any crap about spraying in your front yard? Overspray?

hah on my maiden voyage i went to walk down the deck to pull it on the trailer and i slipped and fell into my bow rail.  now i know why those schiadas do the non skid on the deck... its a death trap.

OUCH!! Yep I feel your pain and I didn't even have any bow rail.

Damn you guys are better boat owners than me :-[.  I just pull it out and wipe it down. I know guys that use white vinegar but for removing hard to remove spots not necessarily for cleaning. I use Meguiar's marine products, I think it works great. After spending a week it the water I 'm able to wipe the dirt and grime line off the boat without products and seeing that there's usually a long drive home why bother, just wash when it get's home. Not to toot my own horn but I still get complements on the way home. I know by experience it's not safe to have the hull super slippery  :sly:.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: predator carb?
« on: January 06, 2014, 09:38:22 PM »
I had one on my stock 460, seam to run good for my application at the time. I was under carb'd with a Holley 650 and the predator had smooth acceleration but I missed the sound of the secondaries kick in.

Are you selling your fj40? I saw one on CL that looks like yours. Bump for you if yes.
