Just talked with him, found out some good info. Very cool, straight forward guy.
He would like to get 3800.
The guy on Monday offered him 3k, but he wont go that low.

Said a test drive is no problem and that I would be "impressed".
Said the hull/floor is strong.  Only thing it needs is interior in the future.
Told him I would call him Friday to set up a test run(still some small details I need to workout). Thinking of offering 3,5k.

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Thanks for the info Ray.  Been so long since I bought a boat and with this market it is nice to hear from different points of view.  I am going to call him, just not sure of what tact I will use for the pricing.

So I accidentally ran into this boat again on Craigslist.  Look at the price drop!
Talked to the guy last night and it is available.  Apparently a guy came yesterday and semi low balled him.  He is contemplating it.
I would still need to see it, touch it and run her.
He sent me 10 pictures last night.  Paint and engine look good.  Pump looks pretty good.  The only hiccup is the interior.  Would need to be replaced in the off season.
Now I am starting to think it might be too cheap to pass up.  Whatcha think?

They were there to hide those ugly ass pumps.... >:D

GT

So by "ugly" you actually mean "super awesome"?!?!?!   ;)

I'll have to do some research on this site to see if Panther is worth a damn pump wise.

Jet Pumps / Pump Question
« on: July 21, 2010, 11:10:19 AM »
I always wondered why pumps like this have these cover looking things on them.  Is it literally just to cover them?  To sit on?  I know not for performance.  Can you run a Diverter or Jetovator with it?  Just a Panther thing?  Am I thinking too much about this?  :D

This is an awesome question.  I never really thought about it until right now as I look back over my boating years.  I bought my first boat at 19 and that was the first time I went out without my parents around.  I know my parents trusted/trust me majorly, even to this day and I guess being on a boat since I was born helps.  Along with being taught everything about boats and safety.  Kind of like when I was taught to shoot a gun/hunt at such a young age.  Have to respect what you are doing which helps you be a little safer.  It also helped I never had a drop of alcohol while I was driving any of my boats.  Great question though.

And dont get me started about the Unions.  I am sick of paying out 70-75 a month for stupid @ss SEIU when they aren't doing me any good for the past two years.  Am I bitter?  Yeah, a little bit.

Government/Legislator/Arnold all suck something fierce.  Who is here to help the people?  Who is looking out for the state?  Instead we get some horrendous debt that would make most other states blush, never pass a budget on time even though they know when it is due, fight amongst each other(repubs, dems) and sh!t on the education system along with the state workers who bring them in their state income.

I hate this subject.  I cant even get all of my thoughts out through my fingers.  I am sick of getting d!cked around.  There will be so much damage if even one paycheck comes in under min. wage.  We shall see.

I like Chiang.  He actually seems reasonable/sensible/responsible.

From what I read Chiang lost in court today.  Not sure if he will appeal.  But yeah, Arnold sucks major nuts.  This is coming from a state employee.
