Outboards / Looking for Outboard mech. In Blythe or Parker
« on: April 25, 2017, 05:04:13 PM »
I picked up a 87 Bass buggy pontoon boat. It's been sitting a couple years. Was running when parked. Just looking for a mechanic to check it out, service and clean carbs. Boat is located at Lost Lake and I would prefer to not tow it very fare. Thanks Andrew

Jet Pumps / Hydraulic vs Manuel place diverter
« on: September 07, 2016, 02:49:38 AM »
I'm looking for opinions of the two types of controls. I've had 3 boats with manual diverters. The new hull I purchased has a hydraulic which is currently not working. With cost of a new pump and misc. Items, I can just change over to a manual control.

Jet Pumps / Hydraulic Place Diverter Lockout
« on: August 29, 2016, 06:26:58 PM »
The hydraulic pump the previous owner gave me is not working. I've just ran out of time to work on the boat anymore before the weekend. I put a small socket and washers to hold try and hold the place diverter level. My concern is when I hit a wake will it shot water up and down at random. Any suggestions or a way to just lock/hold it in one spot for this weekend?

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Engine will not start???
« on: August 22, 2016, 08:35:53 AM »
I got my engine in and hook up in new hull. After turning engine over with plugs out, everything is spinning freely. I have both oil and fuel pressure. The battery is reading 12+ volts, terminal block 12+ volts, and coil is 12+ with key in on position. When I turn to start position engine just turns over. Pulled plug and no spark. With engine turning over i have a zero ready on positive post of coil. I hoping it's something simple as a bad ignition switch. Any thing else I need to check? Thanks Andrew
