Been thinking of incorporating a SCJB skull into my next sleeve. Dewey is who I plan to do the work, if I can ever get time to get out there.

yea no kidding, i never cared but now I'm gunna be a Ford guy for life now just for the controversy. 😂😂

There's nothing wrong with Ford. Hell, I have a blue oval tattoo. If I wasn't going to go with an LS I would definitely go with a BBF.

Complete Mondello built engine some time back in the 90s I believe. 461". Tunnel with 2 600s. All the oil mods. Worked bottom end. Ported heads. Guessing somewhere in the 475-525hp range. It sure makes a lot of noise. Oh, and it's for sale too.

Oh, no doubt!

Yeah, going to be an expensive winter for me and I wasn't even close to the top 10 right now. New hull. New pump. New engine. Still can't wait to spend the money.

I checked in on her after work, she still hasn't moved. Considered hooking the pump up but I'm going to leave it off in case someone wants to look at it.

I used the pertronix kit on my stock distributor and it works great. I'm far from stock as well,  complete Mondello built engine.

GMPP LS7 CNC heads... they are like 1200 for the set assembled. they will be more than enough for a 408

I'll look into those, thanks. I just barely started looking into aftermarket heads as I always planned on running 317s.

. Positive plan. What boat is it going in.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats

I'll be looking for a winger most likely once I sell the purple thing. At least that's the plan. Any hull that can handle 120 will work though, not that I think I will be going that fast.

Yep sounds like a slow process for sure. I know the deal I wore a wallet plum the f out last year.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats

Yeah, the sbe 6.0 wouldn't really be too pricey in the grand scheme of things but I figure if I'm going to do it may as well do it right. Plus my engine guy said that I have to do at least rods and pistons so may as well toss in a crank and pick up strength and 40ci. Same goes for the heads. 317s would have been enough to get the job done and a hell of a lot cheaper but why not go with a good set of cnc ported heads to make it that much easier. It's only money, right? Plus I'm going to have so much more of it now that I'm not drinking and smoking it.

. Come on out Garret the waters warm.  How goes the LS deal I did see a guy selling some upswept small block headers.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats

Figuring out the game plan. Was going to go sbe 6.0 but now I'm thinking more along the lines of a 408 with some good TFR or AFR heads and either a big single or twins. If all goes as planned should be 550-600 NA and no problem pushing 4 digits on pump gas. We'll see what this winter brings. Already have a truck project that needs to get finished and my engine guy wouldn't be too happy if I started building an engine for a boat I don't have yet when my engine and truck are at his house.

I'm saying the boat is cross firing till we get this starting deal cleaned up. I did hear that the olds races will be held in the parking lot Garret.

I won't be involved in any olds racing so I'm out.

There are a few of then out there.  Also multiple proven 1k at the wheels with turbo setups abs stock lowers

Yup, that's the route I'll be going. Probably won't stay stock bottom though.

Still a stock rotating assembly. Has ARP2000 rod bolts. Rings were gapped for the bottle.

Lots of ls guys running a lot more nitrous than I plan to.

Setting it up for approx 150

There is a guy at my friends race shop that is spraying 500 on a stock bottom end 5.3. Has a cam, edelbrock intake, and a carb. That little fox body moves out pretty good.

It's rough but I did it a little over a year ago. Smoked and chewed full time since i was 15. It's still tough at times but I have to say the struggle is worth it. 👍👍👊👊

Yeah, I started smoking at like 14. Then started dipping at 18. Did both for a while. Stopped one then did the other and back and forth. Time to get back into shape and smoking a lot doesn't exactly go with conditioning. Gonna miss these silver bullets and fireball but it will be worth it. Better get back to drinking and finishing this pack of smokes.

good gonna be a tough road ahead, good luck sir!! Last time i did that i put the money away in an envelope everyday that i would have spent on beer and smokes..kinda helps

Sent from my MB860 using SoCal Jet Boats mobile app

I did it before. Quit drinking for 5 months and smoking for over 9. Once I drink I want to smoke. I figure I should spend quit a bit less just from drinking. Sadly most everything we do involves drinking, oh well. 16 years of smoking, it's time to stop.
