Suggestions / Support / Re: What do you want from SoCalJetBoats.com?
« on: December 05, 2013, 04:38:57 PM »
I want to see more members posting more PICTURES!
If you guys are remotely thinking more merchandise.... start buying more merchandise!
I want to see what you guys are doing, or in my case not doing!
Stop posting YOUR home movies.
They're cool but they're YOUR HOME MOVIES!
Other than that, everyone can blow me.

couldn't have said it better.

Projects / Re: New boat owner!
« on: November 30, 2013, 07:38:55 PM »
I would agree that's a lot of work ahead of you.  If you're sold on that boat and want to see the project through, I would suggest you look around for a donor boat.  Maybe find a boat with a junk motor, but otherwise complete for under a thou.  You'll be a ton of money ahead by the time it's over.  Get all your rigging and gauges, maybe even interior for pennies on the dollar.   It's amazing how much all those small parts add up to when you have to buy everything and fully rig a boat, even when they're used parts and your getting the good guy price.  You may also want to  make sure that pump is good before you get to deep, otherwise that's a BIG BITE you got there.  Good luck

The No Wake Zone / a proper name
« on: November 07, 2013, 12:29:06 AM »
Up late just thinking.  When I was young all my friends family boats had names ie. "Super Douche" "Gass Pain" ect. So now I have a new to me  boat my 1978 Tarva I bought from my neighbor. A few years ago he was on his way to the river he left our area and headed out when he was about 10 miles from home and just getting on the 57 fwy off lambert rd in brea calif. someone was honking at him the kids in the car were yelling! "There is a cat in your boat!" well my cat Ripley was famous for getting into cars that had the windows down.and apparently she also liked boats!! Well he called to see if anyone was home to come get her, no one was.So like a better man than I he turned around drove back home and dropped the cat off. NOw I own the boat and I think the only fitting name for it would be "Ripley's Taxi" Is that the proper name or should I be more creative??

Hulls / Re: Check this race hull out-
« on: September 19, 2013, 03:48:20 PM »
Looking for a cruiser not anything too fast. I just like the look of this hull + all my stuff in my 19' sleek will fit right in this.

the gullwing design traps air under the hull to lift it out of the water for more speed.  if you're looking for a weekend warrior cruiser this is probably not the hull you should be looking at...

One more layer of glass and I'll be done. Anybody want a pregnant girlfriend? I need her off my back so I can spend more time with my boat and get her done!

I figured since the upper Blythe has the cp deal and lower yuma area has the power tour. Why not have it in the middle? Location: Lower Blythe, CA . Between McIntyre and Riviera, Drop off Beach / sandbar. Its right outside of goose flats to the South.
Date: September 21st, 2013
Working with the manager at McIntyre to get a lower launch fee/ camping rate for regatta guests.
There are also motels in town....
Also Riviera has camping as well.
