lol too funny Jet. Engine wise a 10 1/2 to 1 460 the heads ported and polished, an American cam with 507 lift and 276 duration, an Edelbrock Performer 460 manifold and a Holley 650 DP converted to a 780. Am running an MSD marine all in 1 distributor (no box) The exhaust im not sure what brand are not headers or logs and thru the transom, and like I said before I was runnning the timing at about 18 or 19 when I have heard some are running at 28 to 30 Thanks all for your input. Hey TJ is your boat the one I saw when talkin about the splash guard? If so your 77 looks EXACTLY like my 76. I'm lookin for a splash guard also

I do have a diverter and had the pump gone thru to a stage 2, so am I to understand that if im not into full blown racin I dont need a ride plate or droop, and just leave it the way it is? I have a few buddies that have jet boats and we have our little friendly rivaleries at the river Racin each other on occasion. Just tryin to one up them while its cold time here in sunny socal. Been a Park Moabi guy since the late 70's. My pump is a 12JC with an A impeller. The last time I gps the boat I was at 65 mph @ about 4300 rpm and I know I was way off on the timing had it set at about 19. So anywhose I probably got ya all spinin with my back and forthness. just tryin to get a clue as to whats up.   Thanks all      Mark

Hi all name is Mark and have been a lurker fo a little while now. You all sound like a great bunch, quite funny also. Just didnt have anything to post. Anyhow I have a 1976 Nordic jet boat 19'. Has a mild 460 ford and a berk jet with hyd place diverter. I have a intake grate from Jim Guthrie racing. The question I have is about putting a splitbowl, droop, and rideplate on and what might the benefits be and if it would be worth it. I also had heard that the bowl I have now is better than a split bowl, true? Any help would be great Thanks
