at idle the temp crawls up... i putt putt'ed thru the canal and i was ~190'ish.  and im keeping my eyes open for a vdrive cruiser.  if i dont find one im still rippin my 1/4 stringers out and goin full with a bulkhead in the front.  winter time project.  plus it was a hell of a deal.

190? you aint seen shit lol. you should see the friggin temps i get in the race boat :banghead:

180 is ideal. 190 isnt bad at all. i wouldnt sweat it really. actually, you should be running 180'ish at speed as well, not just at idle.

not really much going on lately.  got a new waterpump impeller and gonna start cleaning that up.  just need some free time to break everything down and complete the stringer project.  also i have a LOT of things i need polished.  anyone have a good place that doesnt cost a fortune?

hit it all up on the buffer for a few, got it all put back together, going out next week to pull motor put new oilpan on and install new timing cover/water pump.  should be a good time.

oh and after this pic was taken i painted inbetween the fins black... looks WAAAY better.  im just tapping the inlets to 1/2" NPT and the outlets of the water pump to 1/2" a well so everything matches.

Why are you putting a water pump on this thing?  I know you are seeing 190 on the temp but maybe you just need larger water lines to feed the engine if you're that concerned, are there many guys running water pumps on their jets?

with the water pump i get constant feed regardless of rpms, and peace of mind.  it doesnt hurt anything to run one, and hey if i find a vdrive hull ill need one anyways. =)  (ive got my eyes out for hulls... next one NO PANTHER)

does anyone have experience with lowering the bimini?  i have a feeling its gonna be pretty tall, it'd be sweet if i could make it lower.
