I don't see how leaving it could hurt anything, it doesn't leak, leave it.

I haven't counted, but it was probably around 10 last year. But the one boat that was purchased as a keeper before all of those 10 I still have and am still keeping.  ;)  Most were purchased with known hull/stringer problem's and I never planned on fixing them. Probably the only one I purchased with known wood rot problem's that I planned on fixing at the time of purchase would be the Hawiian I got from Ralph, I never intended on keeping that one either, I planned on fixing it and resaling it, but I got intimidated on the wood rot (at that point I hadn't tried repairing wood rot yet) and regretfully resold it instead.

Damn what are you getting a 50 year warranty berber??? Do it yourself for $200. If you have a compressor go get a cheap gun for spray glue.

Do they give you a reach arround with that price ???  For that price they ought to hem the edges and put snaps in for quick removal like the roll bar boats.

Do it your self: http://www.boatcarpetbuys.com/boatcarpet-type/321-8--Wide-16oz-Marine-Carpet.asp Just one of the places I found on a google search
