It's a 1978 Pioneer 19' Mach 1 Tunnel Hull, former drag boat. Here's some pics.   ;D

The white really needs a re-paint. The line where the rub rail would be got whacked by a dock. It got professionaly repaired and now it's ready for some sanding and some paint. The white also has runs in it almost down it's entire side. The red doesn't have one chip in it but it isn't a show quality paint job either. I'm fine with the red.

Seats definately need re-upholstory.

Unknown model (at this time) Dominator pump, Berkeley droop, late model Place Diverter with hydraulic controls, shoe, ride plate, high speed loader grate, unknown impellor (at this time).

New gauges, boat got 14 hours since a total rebuild.

Real nice shiney chrome rail kit, anodized front plate. It also came with a crank mounted altenator, Bassett shorty headers (not shiney anymore but very solid), a 454 punched out to a 468, cast crank, cast rods, 1 disintegrated rod, 1 damaged piston, 1 disintegrated piston, a 4 piece roller camshaft (not supposed to be in 4 pieces), Comp Cams roller rockers, mid-70's Chevrolet truck oval port open chamber large combustion chamer big valve ported and polished heads, full race single carb intake, Holley DP of unknown size needing a rebuild, all the nuts and bolts, valves and gadgets etc...

A true tunnel hull, vs. a fake tunnel hull? Damn I'm mentaly tired...  :P

If you read all 3 pages of the post he got up to 152mph and is going for more soon  :o
WOW, I'd be happy if I could get 1/2 of that with the Hondo.

So your saying it is a Berkley pump???????? well with all my years of building boats and growing up racing them I have never seen a Berkley pump look like that.. that is defiantly a dominator pump with a Berkley transom adapter.

what kind of pump is this???

look at the two closely and see if you can tell whats different..

its sure is nice to talk shit on someone and not know what your talking about .......

I'm saying I don't care what kind of pump it is. I haven't looked at it yet. The pump in the above picture is a Berkeley, has a American Turbine droop snoot on it, with an American Turbine nozzle. Is this a test?

its sure is nice to talk shit on someone and not know what your talking about .......

I don't know who you are but you're probably either the guy the looked at it or that guy's friend. Why don't you tell me who you are so I know who I'm clowning next.  ;)

Every single person that has seen this boat in person and that has read that post on the other site that "describes" this boat has LOL due to the inaccuracy of that other post. It's a done deal so I don't know why we're still carrying on about this...

Fourq,

Dont mind him...he owns an outboard  ;D

The only difference i see (thats showing on the black pump) is the oil/grease fittings arent there on the brown pump. Is there something else I am missing? I am not familiar with the dominator pumps.

btw, the ass end of the boat you posted is niiiiiiice.  8)

BTW - welcome to the site!

I was actually referring to bkplesh's post, but an outboard on fire is even better.

Brad you are correct it just irritates me when people talk shit about something they don't know. it is a dominator pump as it has no grease or oil passage in the bowl. A Dominator is either water lubricated or has a grease Zerk in the shaft end of the bowl. The ass in the pic is one of my old Southwind tunnels  ;D she was a bute.

ok you want to be an ASS thats fine with me.. I am neather of the 2 you refered to I am Fut's brother.  I dont care about how clean it is or isnt the descripsion was passed on by someone else over the phone.. big deal .. you got it and your happy with it thats all that matters right. my post wasnt about you or your boat but if you want to make it that way fine... I was just corecting the fact that you all keep saying its a berkley and its not.  it is very obvious from the pic as you can see with the one I posted. My family has built a few of the worlds fastest jet boats my brother and I have grown up doing this and seen a lot and learned alot and we know the diffrance between a berkley and a dominator. you want to keep flaming me for my post go ahead. lets settle it on the lake then.. finish your tunnel and bring it out the the parker 300 lets run in circles..  ;D

ohh ya I will let you pick from my boats what one you want me to run.

WTF?  ??? An ass I am then.  ;D  I don't know any of you personaly. That's what is supposed to matter anyway, buyer and seller are both happy.  ;)  " I was just corecting the fact that you all keep saying its a berkley and its not." Uhmmm where in the flock do I keep saying it's a Berkeley, the only way that's possible is if you keep reading the same two sentences over and over and over. It's spelled Berkeley not Berkley, Mr. doing this my whole life get the flock off my back and move on. Settle this on a lake? I'd rather just drop it and if that don't work then I'd settle it in the street. WTF? I don't even know what "flaming you" means  :-\  wording actually makes me a little nervous... Why in the flock would I run a tunnel in circles? I thought that was a big no no?  ???

Dude, relax, have a beer, thanks for joining the site, we need more people like you that have been doing this sh!t for a long time.  ;)  :)

BTW, this thread is going south quick so let's point it straight up north, I took the time and finaly looked at the flockin pump, it's a Dominator. OK? OK. Great.

lots of tunnel boats turn great. most of the time its just limited to how big your balls are as to how fast you want to turn it. there was a few Eliminator Daytonas that ran the comp jet class many years ago and they did quite well

This is what I'm talking about, seriously good information! I read somewhere that tunnels tend to flip or roll over in a turn... I personally have no clue as I've never even sat in a tunnel... how fast can a tunnel jet do a u-turn? 5 mph? 25mph? 45 mph?  ???   ???   ???
